"This morning in London, the Rolling Stones made their divorce from EMI official, signing a long-term, worldwide deal with UMG that includes future recordings and the band’s entire post-ABKCO catalog, starting with 1971’s Sticky Fingers. Meaning our resident prophet I.B. Bad was right once again. From here on out, Stones releases will be on the Polydor label through UMG companies around the world. The deal includes digital rights, and UMG says it will conduct a campaign to reposition the Stones’ catalog for the digital age. “Universal are forward-thinking, creative and hands-on music people,” said the Stones in a statement. We really look forward to working with them.” According to sources, catalog will be handled in the United States by UMe, while no decision has been made as to which label will handle new releases. (7/25/08)"

This may explain the lack of Stones DLC and why there is no track on the RB2 disc. Maybe they were held up by the catalog switching hands. Just a thought...

I'd be willing to guess that this is the reason we didn't see any Stones for RB2 set list. But at least this means that as soon as the deal is finalized we'll probably get some more Rolling Stones :D

I really hope so. As much as I like The Who - a Rolling Stones "Greatest Hits" 12 pack would be just AWESOME!!! :D
