Just back from EB Games (OMG)

I just got back from my local EB Games, where I pre-ordered my bundle finally. A few things that he informed me I thought I'd share them regardless if they're true or not.

1) The Canadian price will be equal to the American price ($169.99) which is good news, I'm sure it has something to do with the dollar.

2) He mentioned that their computer said December 20th as a shipment date :eek: He wasn't sure why it said that and I assured them that Harmonix had said either November 20th or 27th. Hopefully this is 100% false as that's 1 full month from the American scheduled release.

Has anyone else heard anything about this? Most likely fellow Canadians?

Supplies are running low. If you have just now pre-ordered it I'd say your lucky your getting it this year.

Better not be, I pre ordered mine like 2 months ago.......... I better not have to wait a full month.

Personally, I really don't see that happening. Shortages maybe, but not a full month delay.

Don't post rumors there are far too many gullible people that read these forums that will continue to regurgitate anything you tell them without checking for them selves.

Rock Band will be released on November 20th.

Confirmed multiple times by Harmonix them selves, and confirmed again today due to the increase in false rumors.


The game is still going to be hitting shelves November 20. I'll work on getting you guys an answer for the Nov. 27 dates.

The November 27th date is www.rockband.com's commitment date to ship that out, so they can meet the supply and demand of the retailer's November 20th release date.

Rant: Why do the mods (I guess only Apples?) Seem to love removing useful threads, such as the ones I posted about the Bonus songs being released and the 10 minute preview clip of solely rock band, when at the same time, the other thread only had the 40 minute entire video that was not focused on Rock Band and did not address the Bonus Songs confirmation, yet leave threads like this? tisk tisk.

I finally got the confirmation email, which is why it shows I'm registered on Nov 2007 and have like 5 posts! :P

My email is also yahoo.com, people that are having issues with yahoo.com confirmation, you should check the Bulk Email Section and also search through the several pages of bulk mail that you undoubtedly have.

Mine was on the 3rd of 4th page down, as it sorts by date and some spam emails show up as 2038, 2008 or even just a few days ahead and so on.

If you are getting the PS2 version then it will be out in dec.
I can't see why any other version would be a full month be hind the USA.

Nothing has been confirmed for Canada, hence why he and I are slightly worried.

I didn't mean to start any potential rumors, just when I heard this I was alarmed and wanted to know if I was the first to hear of this.

I'd love to get a comfirmation for the Canadian date...it would stop all this speculation and worrying

You're right actually. I was too focused on the release date for what I know, to consider reading everything in the OPs post and responding accordingly.

I apologize and hopefully the Canadian Release date and price will be the same as the North American one!

When a game ships it loses the ability to be reserved, so if they left it at the intended ship date (11/06) then no one would be able to reserve Rock Band. So they basically put 12/20 as a ship date so they could still be able to take pre-orders.

I get annoyed when threads get shut down because they are too similar to old threads. If everyone is striking up the conversation in a new one, and the old one hadn't been used in weeks, why make everyone go back into there? Is there some sort of space limitations regarding the number of threads? I understand if there are multiple threads going on about the same topic, but when one is old and not used, and the other is new and lively, I don't see the point.

I'd rather keep the new one, which is more current (obviously), than go back to using one with 25 pages of posts, to wade through.

That's my rant.

Good news for us Canadians. When I went to pre-order the game a few weeks ago the guy didn't even know what Rock Band was :confused: He said "You mean Guitar Hero?" So I informed him about Harmonix's new project and I think I may have won them a customer. Man I wish EB would hire me, I'm standing there schooling their guys.
