ION kit work with pressure sensors in RB2?

I'm thinking about buying that ION kit. But I want to make sure that if RB 2 senses how hard you hit the pads and adjusts the volumes of your hits accordingly, that the ION kit will work with this. Anyone have any ideas?

Yup, the ION is velocity-sensing (at least the OEM kit is). I'm sure the RockBand controller that comes with it will transmit all available info to the game, but I don't think it has been confirmed. If I were a gamblin' man, I'd say it will utilize all the capabilities of the game, including variable volume hits.

Also, I think I read that the velocity-sensing hits will only play at variable volumes during fills and BRE.
