Finally somebody with some decent taste around here. Your list is great, although I disagree with your Manowar selection.

And Edward the great is a compilation album. I dont care how good a compilation album is, one would never classify as an "Ultimate" album, especially with Maiden who have so many Ultimate albums.

This is White Skull with their first female vocalist playing Asgard in Milan: <object width="425" height="355"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jBvqij0ABCM"></param><param name="wmode" value="transparent"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jBvqij0ABCM" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" wmode="transparent" width="425" height="355"></embed></object>

And this is one with their current singer, Elisa, playing The Killing Queen:

I have like 3 or 4 songs from their Tales from the North album, and it ALL sounds amazing. Can't wait to finally find the thing.

And the guy who made this Grave Digger video for the song William Wallace deserves a medal just for the beginning:

as much as i like metal, the only thing im afraid about playing it in RB is the long streaks of 16th notes. its alot easier to keep the rhythm with that on real guitar than guitar hero, which is why i hate playing knights of cydonia. its the only song i have left to 5-star on hard.

There, that makes it better. Mathias Blad-Falconer albums are much better than the ones without him.

I always thought In Flames was good. In fact, they're my favorite band, and Jester Race is my favorite album.

Some more awesome albums that would work in Rock Band:

Opeth- Blackwater Park

Kamelot- The Black Halo

Ayreon- The Human Equation

Nightwish- Oceanborn

Strapping Young Lad- Alien

Symphony X- Divine Wings of Tragedy, or Paradise Lost

Other Thrash - Mostly single songs
Anthrax - Bring the Noise (I think it would just be fun to play)

Nuclear Assault - Critical Mass
Hallows Eve - Speed Freak

this game needs some serious power metal.

there are alot of Europeans that would buy this game if thy were in it. Just missing a gap in the market me thinks. Also just as a common observer but metal albums usually cost more and the fans still buy. That just means its this group that will probably spend most on dlc.

LOL

Serious gap in the market? Either you dont live in europe, dont listen to the radio or are just very, very naive.
Metal as a genre = small proportion of music
Power metal = less than 5% of the music industry, about 10-20% of the metal genre.

look at wacken and events such as these? massive turn out people who will part with hard cash even travel over seas to support this music,

Also Blind Guardian realease an album and it gets top 10 in germany and many other countrys instantly.

Also one of the biggest metal bands ever Iron maiden are power metalers

Power metal is a style of heavy metal music typically with the aim of evoking an "epic" feel, combining characteristics of traditional metal with thrash metal or speed metal, often within symphonic context. The term refers to two different but related styles: the first pioneered and largely practiced in North America with a harder sound similar to speed metal, and a later more widespread and popular style based in Europe (Especially Germany, Italy and Scandinavia) with a lighter, more melodic sound and making frequent use of keyboards. With mainstream metal's fall from popularity and the growth of the underground metal scene, power metal can be seen as a parallel counterpart to extreme metal within the metalhead subculture.

and this is not me arguing i cant stand the wars people create on internet boards. I accept it isnt mainstream my point was it is very EU popular (yes im from the EU and have friends from several countrys) also i want these dlc releases to be diverse to fit a multitude of tastes. Remember guys this board is for dream metal albums of any style

1. Iron Maiden is NOT power metal, they were around way before the term was even invented. Yes, they are a big influence on the sub genre, but they are not part of it.
2. Wacken is not just power metal bands, so is not the best example of how popular power metal is.

I think youve gotten an exaggerated view from the internet, because if you talk to 1000 randomly picked people on the street, I guarantee that less than 20% of them will say they are into metal more than anything else.

As for Blind Guardian and the charts.....well, firstly, I dont really trust chart figures, and secondly, its not that un-common for metal bands to get on top of the charts, especially if they have no competition in that week/month (like a damned Elvis Presly compilation album). The underground metal scene is indeed large, but then this has always been the case, its almost become charateristic of the genre.

Im sorry, but in replying to what I said, you are indeed arguing - if you are not, then why reply? Im not saying "dont put power metal in", im simply pointing out that you are exaggerating how popular power metal is - its just as popular as NWOBHM, Thrash metal, Death metal or any other form.

Pantera Far Beyond Driven
Tool Undertow
Opeth Blackwater Park or Still Life
Devin Townsend Band Accelerated Evolution
Strapping Young Lad City or SYL
Type O Negative Dead Again
Clutch transnational speedway league
Dethklok Dethalbum

but they would have to put out a extra kick drum...

Falconer in the game would be the greatest thing ever. Make the entire self-titled album available for download and I'd pay $500 for it, no joke.

I hope those in charge of picking which songs are to be added to the game don't underestimate the impact of underground metal.
