Drum fills on the Ion drum set

Here's an odd question. When you perform a fill on the Ion drums in RB2, will the game be able to tell the difference between playing a note the flat "tom" pad, and playing a note on the cymbal? Will the yellow and blue cymbals make new cymbal sounds, or will they still produce their respective tom sounds?

I thought i read somewhere that during fills the sounds will change depending on if your striking the cymbal or a tom.. i could be wrond though

Been posted about 5000 times. The answer is yes, they make different sounds.
