I find them very tacky and unoriginal, but so is 98% of everything out there. They seem to be very popular with the 15-20 year old group though, and these guys are entitled to their cake too. I've heard (and downloaded) much worst. I vote yes, maybe a song or two. Make it 4 Words since it was in NHL06 and I actually know it :D

They're huge fans of Nirvana and Metallica and if you ask me, their cover of "Crazy Train" was just as good if not better than the Original :) as for the whole popular for the 15-20 age group. I guess you're right, never really thought about it like that :P

scream aim fire sounds more like a thrash cd than a metalcore cd and i think its much better than their previous albums because of this. idk, unearth, parkway drive, as i lay dying, august burns red- those are metalcore bands and bmfv doesnt really have that kind of sound imo.

These guys are all I listen to in my Mountaineer. Killer parts all around, perfect for the game. Its not my favorite song of theirs, but Hearts Burst Into Fire is the best fit for RB because of its crazy guitar, solid bass, singable vocals (only four words screamed), and of course the pulsing drums that'll make your foot fall off on expert. So Harmonix, give us some Bullet my bruthas.

Okay, the Silver thing is really, really getting old. You can say the same thing with Nirvana's "Polly", if it every comes to the game. Besides, the Pixies were a very important part of alternative music.

I haven't heard enough Bullet for My Valentine to judge. Normally, the first time I listen to something, I listen to instrumentation, and the second time I listen to lyrics. I cannot comment on lyrics, but the first time around... eh, it was okay. Kinda seemed like a lot of other metalcore bands. I wasn't fond of the vocal style, though.

I guess I wouldn't be opposed to them, though. For metalcore fans.

I'm not going to argue about the Bullet for my Valentine songs. I would be glad for their fans if they got in.

However, it's obvious you know nothing about the Pixies. Their songs are not "completely unrelated to life". Their songs don't have the deepest meanings in the world, but they all are cleverly written, and the meanings aren't always apparent. Of course, they don't have any songs about breaking up with their girlfriend, if that's what you meant by "unrelated to life".

Oh, and that Jimmy Buffet argument is terrible... especially because he is in the game.

Jimmy Buffet is Country though, that was almost as if they added him in as a joke band. He's like the "Trogdor" of Rock Band. I'm classifying Jimmy as "Timmy" ;) Get my drift? As for the Pixies... sheesh I'm sure people say they're a huge changing point in music, but it was just..... dead music. As for BFMV, if you really listen to them you would understand more why they're the ideal choice for Rock Band above alot of the other trash I've been wasting my money on, hoping for something worthwhile playing.

Well I'm sure that alot of people find the guitar parts for the majority of Rock Band just a tad too easy in comparison to Guitar Hero. Rock Band is more mainly focused on the Drums. As far as the singing goes, it's quite evident you just have to murmur into the mic while changing pitch to complete any song. but as far as BFMV goes on the other hand, is the best of both worlds in terms of technicality. Ex. There's a guitar solo is almost all of their songs, and the guitar is hard anyways. The bass also gets really tricky for almost all songs. The singing is well screaming and singing, which kind of mixes it up (even though it all boils down to gurgles) lastly the Drums are double kick and really technical, and as i said before, for the whole double kick, use two feet on the kick pedal. BFMV makes alot of other bands already on Rock Band look like a cake-walk. What the majority of us expert level players want is a couple of songs that are going to make us play our hearts out to pass them. Maybe this week's DLC's will make the cut, maybe not. All I know is, I want a Challenge, I want Bullet For My Valentine

I don't know if you've realized man but All the songs on Rock Band to date are by the "popular" bands. BFMV isn't the most popular band, nor is any of the other bands i listen to (atreyu, the fall of troy, escape the fate, avenged sevenfold and alexisonfire) The only good bands I've seen that aren't too popular on Rock Band would have to be Avenged Sevenfold, Coheed and Cambria and Disturbed. Secondly, I'm very ignorant :) but not close-minded. Also, there's nothing I love more than to argue a point, I am the master debater! So tell me, what are the "lesser-known" bands I should take into account when suggesting BFMV for Rock Band

I was with A7X from the start man, not since "City Of Evil" and Disturbed wasn't even talked about until their cover of "Land of confusion" which actually made it to radio. At The Gates is good as well, I can actually second that. Although mostly pre- "slaughter of the soul" was probally my favorite.
