Any moderators, high-ups, or anyone else big in this forum have any idea how we can keep twelve year old Gh3 fanboys out of this forum? It's starting to pss me off.

Yeah, I mean with HMX guys usually getting well deserved weekends off we can't expect Apples to stay up for 48 straight hours and be on guard.
I'm sure when they launch the new "community" site maybe they'll add on another HMX mod or two. I hope so, at least.

Yeah honestly I would love to see another mod. Hell I'd love to be one. I'm on these boards 23 hours of the day.

That's why you mouse over the thread title to see at least the first 3 lines of text. Saves you the wasted time of actually clicking on the thread.
But GH3 fanboys are still annoying as hell.

heh, if i read an obviously fake title created by a guitar hero fanboy then I click on it intentionally just to read the flaming that will follow, i think the things said in those kinds of forums are funny as sh*t hehehe

I've never seen any crazy GHIII fanboys on the boards. Maybe I missed a few threads.

No. Seriously, don't. The last thing we want to do is sink down to their level.

Agreed to not sink to their level.
Why not IP ban? It's getting really out of hand.

That's what's normally done, but hmxSean isn't on during the weekends, which could pose as a problem.

We're no 12 year old RB fanboys. We don't have to sink to that level.
Besides, there is no reason to bash Guitar Hero 3. Guitar Hero 3 is a very good game. It's not as good as Rockband, that's for sure, but still good.
Anyway, I have better things to do than registering on some forum to bash a game.

The easiest way to get rid of them is just not replying to the posts - they'll just move off the main page quickly - there's enough activity going on here to make it happen in an hour.

I'm suprised there's even GH fanboys. You'd think they'd have the sense to know Harmonix made the first 3 GH games and are making RB so it seems rather pointless.

I miss my hometown of GameSpot but the company here is so damn enjoyable I've come to love this place more than any forum.
GameSpot...ahhh...the memories. *becomes entranced in flashbacks*

I look away for one moment to see the Patriots game and things go to pot.
Oh well, I'm sure Johnlok gave them what they deserved.
To those considering some sort of reprisal, don't bother... no need to escalate anything further. We as a community are better than that.

I think he is kind of cool. I bet he wears his hat backwards and totally tells all his friends about how he burned those RB forums like a bunch of noobz.
But anyways, love and hate are the same thing. So in reality he loves GHIII and RB, but as Sartre would say he has embraced the other in one respect (GHIII) and fallen into false consciousness in the other respect (RB).
If we were to take a Freudian account we would have to assume that either RB bullied him in school and pulled his pants down in front of his friends (my take), which both endeared and alienated him from his true consciousness, or that RB was in fact his mother, and his mother (RB) denied him oedipal aspirations which resulted in a false consciousness of antagonistic sexuality.
So because RB denied him the manifestation of the self through sexuality, his Id was forced to alienate his true self through the false consciouness of a 12-year old fanboy.

Thanks. Does the 'Report Post' button do anything, or is that just a placebo?

Same thing happened to me when I signed up...whenever that was. I just kind of gave up on it. Nobody will know my age (23), where I live (Chapel Hill, NC/Syracuse, NY), my favorite music (The Beatles, Stevie Wonder), books (A Tale of Two Cities, The Brothers Karamazov), or movies (Pee-Wee's Big Adventure, and anything with Julia Roberts). And sadly, I can't have an avatar, which would likely be Julia Roberts, because she's awesome.

Hmm.. Oh I don't know.. what about:
NOT RESPONDING TO THEIR STUPID THREADS?
Then they get no attention, they feel content because they have voiced their opinion (improperly, I might add) and we get the satisfaction of knowing that nobody cares about them and never will.
Everyone's happy. Everyone wins.
Edit: Woops. Already something calmer than this has been said.. heh.. heh.

I consider Syracuse "home", but I go to school at UNC, and live in Chapel Hill most of the year (for in-state tuition, saves a crapload of money). I tried to delay entering the real world for a bit longer, by going to grad school, so I'm in CH again until May. And then...real world? :(

Nice. I have a few friends there, though I think they've all graduated. I actually went to their graduation back in May, to see Clinton speak. I was originally going to go to U of R for music (my piano tutor worked in admissions, for Eastman School), but decided to change majors, and went to UNC for business.
Anyhow, this has gotten off topic.
I hate 12 year olds. Good thing my sister is 13 now.

I work in Cary, NC and live in NW Raleigh. Most of my wife's friends are still in school at UNC (seniors and juniors) and we go out to Franklin St. most weekends. Goodfellas, East End, and Players are the frequents for us. Small world indeed. :P
