Who's getting RB for PS3, 360, Wii, or PS2?

I have no idea how to do polls, but I wanted to figure out the ratio of PS3 RB players to 360 ones. Personally, I have a PS3 so that's my console of choice for Rock Band. Any others with a PS3, feel free to add me. My PSN is Tenacious_B . So what console you're going for?

I'm getting it for PS3 too, but the obvious winner is going to 360. The wireless guitar swayed some people who own both systems but it's still a common sense answer. lol

Why do you believe the 360 version will be better gameplay wise? I do wish the PS3 version was wired though, I took GH3 back after 3 days b/c of all the issues. I have faith in HMX though.

I don't think it will be better gameplay wise. It's just that more people own a 360, so therefore more people will buy it on a 360. It's been stated that both version look exactly the same.

360 here - I've loved the console, although my first did RROD on me, it was replaced at teh store immediately. I personally prefer wired controllers too - I had to special order wired 360 controllers because my local store didn't stock them.

PS3 all the way.

a) I'm still holding out hope that the Strat will work with GH1/2/80s.
b) I already have GH3 for the PS3, so the choice was pretty much made the instant I bought GH3 (I'll need that Les Paul to play bass on).
c) I own all three consoles, so that's not an issue, and the PS3 has wireless guitars. Besides, if I stopped buying PS3 games, it would just be that much more incentive for developers to not mess with the PS3. :(

Getting the Xbox 360 Rock Band. RB was the breaking point where I decided to finally get a next-gen console, and I follow where the good games are (OK OK, the games I like/expect to like, it is a basis of opinion on what is "good" :D)

I figured catching up on some of the other games that came out in the last year for the 360 would ease the wait as well. Game system set-up now is essentially a Wii602

PS3 here. The system is finally coming on strong now.

The wireless guitars will allow our rocking to get much more intense, without the risk of disconnection or taking the system for a tumble.

I have never given Microsoft a single hard earned penny, nor do i ever intend to.

I *would* get it for the Wii, except it's not coming out for it any time in the foreseeable future.

I am getting it for PS2. I don't care that much about drums, I already have 2 SGs and a usb mic. DLC would be nice, but it's not enough for me to go out and buy a 360 or a PS3 just for that game. So for me, RB will be 40 fun songs (hopefully) to play on guitar, and maybe my wife will sing.

That's the reason im buying a 360. Rock Band.

I wanted to get a PS3, but they didn't have any games that I liked, and I'd have to wait a while before FF13 came out, or Tekken 6 (?).

Then I saw all the awesome games for the 360 and just went ahead and got it.

Yeah, it kinda sucks that we hafta get a wired guitar, but my living room really isn't that big anyways. How long are the cords gonna be?

I'm getting the 360 version. Mostly due to this is the only console I own...but even if I did have a PS3 (which I plan on getting soon) I'd get it for the 360...because I'm an achievement whore...lol.

I'm waiting for more information to be released about it, but I'll probably get it for PS2 if it's only lacking online features. I'll miss DLC, but I won't be getting a PS3 or 360 for at least 2 years. If the PS2 instruments work with the PS3, all the better.

If, by being obvious, you mean you're getting it for the Wii... you won't be getting it any time soon. There are no foreseeable plans for a Wii version, other than the head Harmonix guy saying that he'd "absolutely" be interested in releasing it for the Wii at some point.

kind of astonishing, really - considering how relatively small the PS3 install base is. I also don't know a single person that has one - everyone i know has a Wii or 360. Maybe PS3 nerds spend more time on message boards? :)

Well it's probably because the PS3 has wireless guitars. That apparently swayed some people when it was initially announced. I don't know why but it wouldn't be a big deal for me if I owned a 360 and had a wire.

Now if the strat since it works on PS2 and PS3 could play GH 1,2, and 80's there would be an even bigger lean towards the PS3, I think.

I sold back my wireless 360 controllers for wired ones eventually. Also, 99% of real guitars are wired, so I am a little surprised that'd be that big of a factor.

That could be. I'm not saying everyone that has a PS3 is wealthy and everyone that owns a 360 is not. But I traverse by gaming sites everyone once in a while to check up on a game I'm curious about and I'll look at the messages for Rock Band and there will be comments up and down about how expensive it is, and how they can buy 3 games for the same price. I'm sure some of it is personal preference but you may have a legitimate point there.
