View Full Version : Did anyone notice the added poll option?

On the Rockers Page.

A poll asking "What would you most like to see more of as game tracks or DLC"

For the last few day's it's options were...

Heavy and extreme metal

Punk and indie rock

Classic rock hits

Songs with female singers

Older (late 60s & early 70s) music

Brand new stuff

All the above

And then today I noticed another poll option that wasn't there for the first few days the poll was there...

RUSH

So of course I voted rush, but I hope this didn't hurt the votes for rush. Since the other poll options had a few day headstart...

I saw it also and voted, but even when I re-sign in I can't see the results. Is that normal or is my browser acting up?

What are the results so far, btw?

Well, Rush has become really popular lately.

Well, their tracks in RB are some of the most fun all around (Fun on all instruments)

I didn't notice that. Hope that means we'll get some more tracks from the awesome trio in the future. A Who-style best of would be nice... I'd like to see Far Cry in the game about as much as I enjoy seeing their classic stuff, it's a great track.

Cool, thanks for posting that, I was curious. Hopefully this means we get some more metal soon... Like every week ;) Some classic rock would be good also though.

RUSH is a correct option for almost any poll. They were probably just correcting an oversight.

They formatted it wrong though... RUSH is too good for lowercase letters.

They should have made it a checkbox instead of a radio button poll. I want many of the options but not all. I chose all as my answer, but I'd rather not get more metal as those songs just are not fun to play.

Dude, that depends on the metal. I agree that metal musicians are usually insane with their instruments, but this isn't always the case. There are a ton of metal songs that would be fun and not overly challenging.

But regardless, I love the insane ones as well, but not for a consistant DLC, just once in awhile. Metal also sounds the best cranked way up on the stereo IMO. But no matter what, we will always get a variety. Don't forget this is HMX we're talking about.;):)

I noticed it earlier today and silently cried. Why? I had already voted for "60's and 70's."

I am sorry. I am... so... sorry. HOW DID THIS HAPPEN?!?!?

SEE! The evil pollmaker forgot RUSH and made this poor soul vote for NOT RUSH.

:D

(I pray for a "Greatest Hits" like they did with the Who for RUSH. I would Orgasm over it. >_> )

I hope so, permanent Waves, 2112, or the rest of moving pictures would be great.

I play vocals mainly, so metal just tends to bore me. I can take it or leave it as far as something to listen to, but when it comes to Rock Band I prefer something with a catchy chorus to it.

Technically couldn't we count the "Classic rock hits" as Rush too ;)

...and the "all of the above' thus making RUSH the #1 option? ;)

It just went up to 6 percent! WOOOOOOOOOOOOO!

Cmon, RB people you know you want more RUSH!

I do really think this is a sign though that we'll be seeing some more RUSH tracks soon. Like Bmore said.

Rush also has some "brand new stuff" and people might have mistaken Geddy Lee for a "female singer".

Oooh, and RUSH was is considered a Heavy Metal sounding band when they first arrived on the scene (And are revered by many Heavy Metal bands).

So I guess they might be considered heavy metal by some people :D.

I don't know who to vote for!

Heavy and extreme metal- I'll take heavy metal, but not extreme. Especially as Die So Fluid could just about fit into into the Heavy Metal category.

Punk and indie rock- Punk gives me quite a few bands I like, especially more Offspring, so I could take that

Classic rock hits- I do like a lot of classic rock, right now my classic rock tastes lie with The Rolling Stones, so it'd be nice to see more of them

Songs with female singers- I'm a big fan of female fronted bands, and this is another category that could get me some Die So Fluid.

Older (late 60s & early 70s) music- Yet again, gets me some Stones, who I'm in to right now.

Brand new stuff- Can I say, Die So Fluid?

Rush- Meh, not really a Rush fan. I'd pass on this.

All the above- I'd be fine with this!

Now that I think of it, Permanent Waves, would be perfect in Rock Band as a full album.

And with only 6 songs in the full album it'd be cheap as well!

10 bucks for a full RUSH album... AWESOME

They should have had an "All of the Above (Especially Rush)" option, though. :P

Thus why I think the whole Permanent Waves album would be awesome as DLC (TSoR is in that album as is Freewill)

Awesome, full albums are awesome, because you don't just have 1 or 2 songs from the band but a full album of songs to pick from.
