Is there online at all?

A couple weeks ago, I was following Rock Band constantly absorbing any bit of info I can get, but I just don't have time to be here much anymore xD So, there were rumors of online band world tour but now I see many people saying there isn't...

Is there any type of online at all? What all can we do? Also, is it possible BWT could be added on later via a patch?

I'm just interested because even though my friends will be over playing sometimes, it takes awhile to get to my house so we were hoping for online :\

It still has online 2-4 person Quick Play, but not the World Tour part of the game.

Immediately on the retail game online is there. Mainly just a quickplay feature, which is fully functional for 4 players. However HMX has said that VerY soon after release a patch should be available to allow for online BWT.

Don't forget that all the head-to-head modes (Tug of War, Score Duel) will be online-enabled for all four instruments.

Oh yah, forgot to mention those modes. I doubt i can find the thread where I read that, but i do recall someone mentioning that was their plan for BWT. Of course, I guess the 'plan' could always change though too.
