One Profile - Multiple Instruments

Does anybody else want to see this? It seems to me there should be a better way to associate multiple instruments to your one character in Rock Band. That way lets say you join a band with some friends and you both want to switch instruments to get some variety you can.

Yes, it's not realistic to switch instruments in a real band. However, this is a video game. I like to switch up the instruments once in a while and should be able to do this while playing the tour part of the game.

Will this be possible in Rock Band 2?

Has that been confirmed? I saw this:

"Quickplay makes it easier than ever to get in and jam without hassle while allowing for new prefab characters or customized characters that can play on any instrument plus lets you make your own set lists and organize your song lists in a variety of categories (genre, era, etc.)"

However, it mentions nothing about band tour play.

I guess I misunderstood. I took that as the quick play Solo mode. Not the Band Tour mode. I was referring to the Band Tour mode.

They also announced that they are doing away with band leaders. So I think you should be good to go.

That could work. Worst case scenario you could add yourself in with multiple instruments in Band Tour mode. Then with no band leader you could play your other character. Would still like to see one profile though.

At least that would work.

What you describe has indeed been confirmed. It was in the article in this month's game informer.

Solo TOur / Band Tour = the same thing. They are one.
