View Full Version : Will RB Guitar Work With GH?

I need to know because I'm getting ready to trade GHIII in. It sucks so bad and I'm so disappointed. I would still like to co-op GHII so I was just wondering.

I know the x-plorer is supposed to work with RB but is it the other way around too?

From what we know, les paul should work with Rock Band, but Strat will not work with GH3.

From what I heard somewhere around here in the forums...

Both guitars work with the game.

GH2 and 3 guitars work with RB
RB guitar work with GH3

ign has stated that the explorer and les paul will work for rock band, but the strat will not work for guitar hero.

Sorry dude, but the RB guitar doesn't work with GH3. Only the other way around!

Hey blame Activision for all this, there the ones who want the money for the perif's to play their stupid game.

Red Octane pulled this same crap with GH2 before they were owned by Activision. I was absolutely infuriated when my third party flying V controllers (purchased before the second revision) didn't work with GH2.

Such amazing ******* hypocrites. They made their business by making third party Dance Dance Revolution controllers, but customers be damned if someone else can do the same with "their" game, now.

Did anyone catch that the original poster was asking about possible GH2 compatibility, not GH3 which he plans on returning? Do we have a definitive answer on that question?

On the Xbox 360, the Fender Strat will NOT work with Guitar Hero II. Same deal, the game recognizes the "foreign" controller and locks it out.

On the PS3... No one knows. Still no confirmation. Harmonix has made no official statements about the PS3 Fenders being compatible with the old GH1/2/80's games. Until one of the gaming websites actually tries it with their review copies, I guess we won't get any definitive word.
