Not going to help anyone else get scared, but when I was a little kid my parents took me to a drive in movie.....on a very foggy night.....to see the original version of The Fog. My sister and I were both traumatized and my clueless parents could never figure out why. I'm over it now, but my sister still can't watch that movie.

There's an Olive Garden just across the border in Massachusetts (I live in New Hampshire). One I've eaten at at least a half-dozen times. So I'm reading the newspaper and there's this story about the restaurant.

Anyway, a woman was eating there and didn't like her food. She sent it back. They remade it and she sent it back again. Finally the third time, she ate most of it and brought the rest home.

Next day she's feeling really sick so she goes to the emergency room. Doctor asks her if she might have eaten anything that would cause her stomach pain and vomiting etc. She said that she ate at Olive Garden and that she had some leftover food to be tested.

The doctor got a hold of the leftovers and started testing it. He found (no I'm not making this up) 12 DIFFERENT DNA samples from 12 DIFFERENT people's semen on the food. One of those 12 people had Hepatitis. Disgusting.

Several creepy things have happened in my house, but there's two in particular that have scared the crap out of me.

The first was one night about 2am. I was fast asleep in my room, and I woke up from some dream and could feel a pressure on my shoulder that felt like someone touching - and maybe even kinda leaning on - it. I freaked and threw my covers in the direction I figured the...whatever would be and reached frantically for the light. When I finally got it on there was nobody there, but I could swear I felt someone touching me.

I realize that story could always be easily written off as just some "residual dream" kind of thing, but not the second one.

About a month ago I was watching a movie until about 5am in the game room of my house. The game room is upstairs in the back of the house, down a hall. That hall, on the other end, ends in a bedroom, with another bedroom on the right and to the left another hall that's blocked by a rail looking out over the living room. Every night my mother leaves a little lamp on in the bar down in the living room. When the movie ended, I got up and walked down the first hall until I could see the light from the lamp on the wall of the next hall. Just before I stepped out into the next hall I saw a definite shadow cross the wall, as though someone had just walked in front of the lamp.

But I was the only one in the house still awake. So what caused the shadow?

when i still lived with my parents, i have seen the stereo turn up and down from min to max by itself (yes the knob was turning), < i have seen fans do the same, and one night my sisters bed lifted off the ground and dropped back to the floor while she was asleep in it, and at the time she couldnt have even lifted one end of it, and i heard it slam down and her screaming like she was being killed, and that was like 8 years ago and she still doesnt like to talk about it to this day, she also said there were shadows in the shape of ppl all over her walls (yes i believe in ghosts and no i didnt make any of that up)
I have seen a lot of weird things and a few ghosts b4, i wish everyone could bc then they would believe too.

I'm not much on ghosts, but I found this vid on youtube once where this woman sold her house because her pantry door would mysteriously open on it's own every night (or almost every night) at 12:34. After she posted the vids up, a group went to see for themselves. I don't know the validity of this vid, but it looks pretty legit to me. Freaked me out.

There was a shape that looked like legs behind a semi-clear door and when some guy put his hands against the glass a creepy thing put it's face to the glass, it disappeared and the door open. The pantry was completely empty. Pretty freaky.

That video is pretty cool...i'm only skeptical about at the bottom of the glass what seems to be 2 distinct shapes going upwards, that look like the outlines of legs like somebody standing on the other side of the glass...and its there even when he comes on saying "nothings happening yet".

It seriously looks kinda faked to me for THAT reason and that one only...because when the pantry is opened there is nothing on the inside of it that could have been making that shape and it is there before the "ghost" is there and yet he says "nothings happening yet" and thirty minutes later they havent investigated the leg shapes? Any real investigator or skeptic would have seen that...

Those "leg shapes" could have been the reflection of something else in the room. I think he starts to investigate when he sees the hands come up on the door. Then the face is wicked freaky.

I live in a pretty old house (older than the Declaration of Independence). A lot of people have died in it. In the laundry room (which is at the back of the house, upstairs) I always feel like something is watching me or something. My mom says the same thing, too. My brother's room is right next to it and he has never mentioned anything. It's kinda creepy...

For the ghost in the pantry: if you look a few videos down the list, one of them shows how to use After Effects to make it... which I've done... except most shape and masking tools I use are to add in lightsaber effects. They did a great job though. The part that made me doubt it is the acting. Nobody would ever test the floor and keep grabbing on to something they know is real like their "skeptic" did.

It's much worse in the later video with the extended family there.

And for the sending food back thing, I do send food back when I'm not pleased with it, but I ask them to take it off the order and do not ask for a replacement. The entire time leading up, I'm nothing but smiles and I'm very courteous, but I really don't like people in the food industry who have that attitude. If you cook something and it's not to the very basic specification I've requested, I'm not going to pay for it, and you don't have the right to piss and moan because you're asked to do your job again. When I worked in a grocery store, if I mopped the floor, and someone said it wasn't clean enough, I'd mop it again; and I wouldn't contaminate the water with SARS or anything first.

Even after someone brought to our attention that that Olive Garden story was an urban legend... I still think there's probably some truth behind it. I've only been to that restaurant once, and when I asked for an iced tea.. I had no idea it wouldn't be sweetened. So I ask the waiter for sugar.. lots of sugar.. because their little sugar thing was empty. The guy was a dick and dumped, literally, am armful of sugar packets on the table. :s

There have alwasy been horror stories but my father in law can be one of the biggest dicks to waiters and stuff abot food and he has never once had anything done to his food.

1:00 a.m. in my room.

I'm trying to fall asleep when all of a sudden in dead silence the house pops. And I'm talking a really, loud, ear shattering pop in that situation.

I could have jumped out of bed and killed someone, my adrenaline was up so high.

Also, same time on a different night, trying to fall asleep on the futon in the basment because it is too humid up stairs and my parents refuse to trun the F*@#ing AC on!

Anyways, it's totally dark and I'm in the middle of our Rec room which is kind of a large open room. I'm laying there and from every direction about 5-10 seconds in between I hear little creaks and snaps.

Ugh. That was freaky. They never stopped and I still heard them the night after when I was watching the X-Files even with my parents awake upstairs, so I chalked it up to the humidity in the house making the wood shift.

Best Screamer moment for me was Freshman year of college. My friend sent me one where you had to navigate your mouse pointer through a maze while Britney Spears whispered things to you. It was late at night, I was tired and my roommate was sleeping so I had my headphones on and made it loud.

I was INTENSELY focused on the bastard maze and midway through the second level the thing screamed in my face. I FLEW backward from the computer and threw my headphones at the screen.

Naturally the first thing I did was send it to a girl who lived down the hallway. She had her surround sound on (it was 2 in the morning) and I could hear the damn thing/ her scream from down the hallway.
