Okay. I've noticed that HMXDungHeaver is a big fan of them and he also agrees that Decrescendo would be a fantastic song. I've also noticed there have been a few threads for them but no one's really tried to 'sell' them to you. So here I am to try!

Okay, first off, all the members of the band are extremely talented. They can play non-stop for a whole set and just jam and transition between songs. I've seen them open with Decrescendo and cut to another song halfway through only to end the set with the second half of the song they opened with. They're also well-known for messing around with structure and time signatures.

What this means is that no one is screwed over in terms of boring parts and the songs don't become dull and repetitive. I think the drums will make for a very unique and fun challenge for those expert players.

But most importantly, the songs are just plain fun with a good rhythm and melody to them.

Some examples (please keep in mind the live versions will not only have the obvious slight variations but the band likes to improvise or mess with sections too):

...And the Battle Begun - official video

Decrescendo (Live) - actual song wouldn't start until about 1:50 and the guitar parts are pretty much the same as the album version. The ending is fantastic.

Only for the Night - audio's not live, video is :p

Newsstand Rock: The Exposition - fan video

Overcome: The Recapitulation (Live) - this is their most 'standard' song structurally but it's a fun singalong

Sell You Beautiful (Live)

To Our Unborn Daughters (Live) - wait for the end ;)

Analog Boy - official video

Dinna-Dawg (Live) - some liberties have been taken with overall performance

Sorry to bombard you with videos but I wanted some examples at the click of a button and I spent ages trying to find the best quality audio I could.

If you're interested check out their MySpace too (http://www.myspace.com/rxbandits) and I highly recommend their last two albums: 'The Resignation' and '...And the Battle Begun'.

If I haven't made a fan of you then hopefully you'd at least hope to see one song in the game (for the challenge? :p )

Thanks for your time!

Rx Bandits would be so awesome for Rock Band! They're an amazing band. Although, I haven't heard their newest album... My favorite of their albums is Progress, so I'll have to disagree with you on the last part. Status and Who Would've Thought would be great songs in my mind.

Though, I'd be good with any and all Rx Bandits. The Resignation is amazing as well, so... I'm gonna go check out ...And The Battle Begun, be right back. :p

Oh, don't get me wrong, Progress is a fantastic album too (probably a lot more accessible to boot) and got me into the band in the first place but with the last two albums you can see their sound has really evolved.

Frankly, I'd be happy with anything off the last four albums by them...
