I know that the song transfer will basically be loading the disc songs on to the hard drive, but what about the european exclusive songs?
To those unaware, they appear as DLC on our game, yet are loaded on to the disc, rather than the hard drive like normal DLC. Also, there is no way for us to redownload them from the Store, because they aren't on our Store.
This probably means that the EU will need a different transfer patch to the US, so that it recognises the Euro DLC as on disc.

I one of the optimists, I believe Harmonix will at least release the stand-alone game here pretty soon after the US release of the game. Especially as our game and instrument pack are sold separately anyway.

Good luck with that, the more people playing online, the better.

Q2/3 2009. At the earliest. Seriously.
I hope Harmonix do allow Europeans to upload the on-disc DLC into RB2. Hysteria and Rock and Roll Star are 2 of my favourite songs to play, but I don't think HMX would overlook that sort of thing.

I just asked this in another forum .. be really keen to find out an answer.
but to be honest I'd sacrifice ALL my DLC if for once .. just once .. we could have a game that didn't just swap the dollar sign for a pound sign instead of use the exchange rate. Rock Band cost me £170 .. that's $335. It cost the Americans $170 I believe, so we paid double!!! I'm really looking forward to the Ion drum set, $300 is affordable .. £300 is a joke.

I didn't realise those things weren't on our store! Oh well they'll develop some sort of patch around it but it won't make any difference till RB2 comes out anyway.
I know Rockband was overpriced but it's not as bad as your saying, it isn't a simple exchange rate it's also all sorts of things. In value the pound is equal to 1.8 dollars. But to a person a pound is like one dollar. If that makes any sense??
