View Full Version : A possible problem with the PS3 version

I preordered Rock Band not too long, and only recently realized that the bundle for this game only contains one guitar. As a PS3 owner, my options are to either wait until February to buy a second guitar or buy Guitar Hero 3 and use the guitar from that. I have not found the individual guitar for GH3 for sale so far, and Guitar Hero 3 costs $100 (plus tax) with the guitar. I would REALLY prefer not to pay $280 total (plus tax) just so I can play with a full band.
Is there any way around this problem, or am I stuck paying another $100 if I want to play with four people when the game launches?

if you have an sg from ghII or something there is a possibility(tho not comfirmed yet) that with use of an ps2 to USB adapter it will work with rock band

Dude, I live in Michigan. We're all very poor. I'm lucky I can afford Rock Band as it is.

I do have an adapter, so if that works, I should be set. Good idea.

I've been looking for it, but all the individual ones I've found have been for the Xbox 360. I guess I'll keep looking there, though. But the game launches in fifteen days, so unless someone puts one up for sale soon, I doubt I'll be able to get one by launch.

Unless I am mistaken, the only chance you really got is to somehow get your hands on the GH3 Les Paul. Either get it off ebay by itself, or buy it new at your local games retailer.
And as an FYI, the Les Paul is awesome. It's sooo sturdy.

I would just go out and buy a Les Paul for the PS3 if I could, but as I stated previously, I haven't seen the guitar sold without the game in either real life or online retailers.

Yeah, I haven't seen it by itself either.
The best bet is to use the adapter. It may not register ho/po's but if you are just giving that guitar to the bassist he's not going to hav to many blistering solos. Thats about the only thing you can do until maybe December/January.
