I'd be willing to bet tomorrow's announcement will be DLC from Lollapalooza bands. You'll probably get a Radiohead song and a Rage Against the Machine song, maybe another NIN song (are there any left?) and hopefully a Raconteur and a Wilco song. Maybe a six pack including a Love & Rockets song??
Just guessing, but it makes sense. Especially with Radiohead, RATM and NIN already being involved with the game.

I doubt it, but it would be seriously awesome if it did happen. Radiohead, Rage and the Raconteurs especially would be unbelievably good on all instruments :D
How long ago were these bands announced? If it was less than 4-5 months ago, a Lollapalooza pack probably won't happen.

I've read the developers say they turn around a song for DLC in about a week. For artists already in the game that they probably have tracks they've been waiting to release, I can't see needing 4-5 months advance notice to put someting together.

Ok it's just that I read in this thread (http://www.rockband.com/forums/showthread.php?t=29365) that it takes a minimum of 3 months to get songs ready for DLC, although I assume it would be less for a band/label that's already involved in RB. Either way, we'll just need to wait and see *Crosses Fingers*

Lollapalooza is an annual August event in Chi-town so they had plenty of time to prepare. Let's hope it happens and also includes some BLOC PARTY. Come on HMX show Chicago some love!!!

This. I would change the RATM song to Sleep Now in the Fire, but that's personal preference. I'd buy either or.

i see that broken social scene are playing the event this year, so one of their tunes (preferably an earlier one) coupled with some radiohead would be up my alley.

QFT lol. However, if there is a Lollapalooza pack and there is a Radiohead song, I'm expecting something from In Rainbows, possibly a Hail to the Thief track or Just. I'm hoping for OK Computer as an album download later on (Possibly one of the 'Epic' albums referred to?)

i would definitely say "doolittle" is epic... just because you don't like it and it's not a terribly mainstream selection doesn't in any way degrade it's status amongst music fans and critics.
it's kind of a sad day when that has to be spelled out for someone in a thread about "lollapalooza", to be honest.

i've loved them all. even the "kinda albums" from boston and the who... all high-quality artists that i've loved for a long time now.
i play boston and the pixies the most, but they all receive a great share of love.

I have to agree. We just got our second round of NIN.
Let's hope if it's a 2008 Lolla pack it includes Radiohead, Rage Against the Machine, Bloc Party, Wilco, Raconteurs, Flogging Molly, The Whigs (in honor of FW who is probably in transit to Chitown as we speak) and Bang Camaro (in honor of HMX).

Couldn't have said it better.
Lolapalooza died when it included Metallica in 1996. Too many people just don't get it now.
The new setup is great, and I've got to admit the line-ups have been impressive. I'm just not sure Lollapalooza should be sedentary.
Not bashing Metallica in any way, I should add.

Bummer. I went to 3 of the first 4. (Not to age myself). Jane's Addiction, Nine Inch Nails, Soundgarden, Pearl Jam, Ministry, Red Hot Chile Peppers, Smashing Pumpkins, Flaming Lips. The lineups have been pretty decent in the last few years, but I always find I have some family event or am out of town that weekend. :(
