So I live in Tucson, Arizona and went to the Best Buy at First and Wetmore and went to go play the demo and the mic was there and plugged in, but how to u select who is playing the game for the mic person? like for instance with the 2 guitars and the drums you push "A" to indicate the instrument will be in use, but there is no "A" button on the mic so how do you select that you want to use the mic? do u scroll over with the drum set pad or the remote conroler to select that you want to use the mic? mean basically how do u select that, Yes indeed you want to use the mic seeing as there is no "A" button on the Mic? Thanks!

Yes you can, as long as the Best Buy crew there set it up right. There's supposed to be a controller plugged in as well as the mic. So the other instruments can navigate menues using the instrument, and the mic is paired with a controller. Should be laying around next to the unit, just keep your eyes open next time you're there. If the employees didn't set it up right, ask one for assistance. If that still doesn't work, you're out of luck, you need the controller to press 'A' and get into the game.

Incorrect; the Best Buy in Chelsea has the mic set up.
To answer your question, you use a separate standard controller that does the menu navigation and stuff, and the game recognizes that the player using a standard controller is the vocalist.

The MIC is there and as of 4:30 Monday afternoon it was set up correctly. Just look for the controller. I was there with three other guys and we played for about 45 minutes until for some reason the entire demo set up (GH3 Singstar etc) was completely switched off. I don't know if they have a kill switch when they want people to move on or a fuse blew or what but the whole bay went down. There wasn't even anyone waiting to play or anything.
