Why would they issue a press release 2 weeks from release date saying "North America" if they indeed planned a delayed release schedule for Canada?

Short answer, they wouldn't.

But a simple confirmation would do wonders to ease the minds of us Canucks.

I think the rumor just got out of hand. There was never any concrete proof.

I lol'ed very hard at the title of this thread since I think the other thread hasn't left the main page in a long time.

I'm also convinced it will NOT be delayed.

i think there was complications of 'being able to make the date with multi language packaging complications' about a week ago until today....
but this source makes everything look okay now and i am finally relieved!
thank you rook!

Well I mean Harmonix isn't new to the game so multi-language problems sounds far out of the possibility. If for any reason there were to be a delay it would be because of the Canadian dollar's jump, but even then it would just call for a possibly higher price tag, but not a change in date. It just doesn't make sense either way for them to delay it. It can't be shortages because why would you make it exclusively launched in US when there are just as many anticipating purchasers in Canada.

Please Harmonix folks, hit us with an update on this situation. I've already pre-booked my game, and I feel that your vast legion of fans in canada deserve at least some type of news, if only to stop the conjecture, rumor, etc. A delayed release here is in NOBODY'S best interests, especially yours, as it only allows for more folks to pick up GH3, and less happy customers during the huge holiday buying period. If it's gonna be late, it'll at least allow some of us to make alternate plans for buying in the US. Please, just give us some news.

That means nothing, it still could be delayed. If you are looking for the any announced news, they never talk about a delay, but the instores ebgames date indicate a delay. If they had said the release in Canada is due to 20 nov, that would have been another story.

Only a Harmonix answer would either confirmed or debunk the rumor

Well obviously EB games/gamestop is always right with everything. :p

If this were the case when I pre-ordered I'd be paying 999.99 right now, and I'd already have "The Orange Box" because they said it wasn't going to be delayed (PS3.) This was taken out of numerous press releases in another thread. I'm inclined to believe it is coming to Canada on the 20th.

I'd like to know where EBGames got their Dec. 8, 18, 20 etc. dates from then... it's a rather stupid thing to do to scare all your customers into buying it in the States instead.

I really wonder what Harmonix are up to... it's not like they didn't notice our panic.

all i can see is that they are not sure it will come out on Nov 20 and are giving themselse a fictive date in there system for Dec 20. I could not understand a marketing move for dec 20 like 4 days before Noel

Has anyone tried to just pre-order the game itself? I'd be curious if that is showing up in the systems or not. Should be no reason for a disk to be delayed, and heck I'd play with just a guitar while I'm waiting for the drums/mic.

Although an official statement from Harmonix would always be helpful, you know.

Microplay in Quebec is annoncing it for Nov 20, Future shop and best buy has no date and referes themself at IGN, found further news in French that the game will be release Nov 20. Guess i will try NOT thinking about it until then.

Have at 'er. Doesn't look like they'll have a large number of them available though, judging by the 'no guarantee you'll get it on launch day' sign.

And the price is 199.99 instead of the 169.99...
