Does anyone feel that way too? Guitaurists/bassists can activate it when ever they want to, but drummers have to wait for the end of every measure for a chance to hit it.
When I'm online, I wait for the drummer to do his thing then I lift my guitar in hopes that the bassist will catch on. Anyone else do the same thing?

That's actually the best way to do it, from what I've heard.

That's usually the way it works in my band.

I thank everyone whenever they do it in Quickplay, being the drummer.
It gets things done, and it throws stars on the screen.

Since the drummer can't control when to use overdrive (except for not activating) it's best to do it when he does. Unless he misses an overdrive set and the rest of the band cant wait for him.
A good drummer will look up the best paths for full band play and use those. They aren't much different then the optimal paths for solo drums.

Depends on the song really, sometimes the drummer has a number of fills, but the singer has very few OD bits, or they're just before a tricky part so he'll be catching his breath at the time, in which case it's the singer who gets to control the band.
But yes, most of the time it's the drummer's band, y'all just play in it ;)

It might also be smart to match up (for example) the guitarist and the drummer, and the vocalist and the bassist.
Guitarist activates as soon as the drummer does. Vocalist joins in ASAP, then the bassist activates when the vocalist does.

I KNEW IT!!
Drummers are trying to take over Rock Band online by controling when we can OD (oh, that came out wrong...)
I'm not going to sit down and not let that happen. I'll gladly stand

It depends. If everyone is doing great and it's obvious that nobody is going to fail out anytime soon, I match up with the drummer. If we have someone in the low yellow to red zone, I'll wait to help them out.
That said, it's usually optimal to match the drummer. Vox usually doesn't get all that much OD to begin with, in my experience anyway. Not as much as the drummer at least.

I love drumming in a full band and not having to worry about adjusting my OD path. Though sometimes you do have to keep an eye on the vocalist, since they can contribute, what, 16,000 points per phrase with an 8x multiplier? And of course during guitar solos and stuff.

I feel powerful in this thread where I usually feel powerless.
The funny thing is I'm also semi-powerful in many vox songs, in a powerless kind of way. :D
If you've got a vocalist good enough to consistently hit most energy phrases, they're in pretty much the same situation as the drummer, really.
