First of all, I'm not here to bash on any bands. I agree that we need more classic rock like Queen and AC/DC. But please Harmonix, can you consider taking a look at Thrice. Their first three albums are fast paced and energetic. And Vheissu had amazing reviews. as well as Alchemy Index being really good experimental album. if anything a Best of collection from all 5 of there albums. SOMETHING PLEASE. lol dont make me beg!:D

If harmonix needs some examples. here you go.

Deadbolt

Silhouette

notice how the guitar notes are not Break Your Arm Off hard, but at the right difficulty to where its exciting and challenging. and then you have Dustins energy surging through his voice. how its soft and emotional(without being emo) but when he screams the lyrics are not mindless and empty. and the drums and bass are not at all boring. come on harmonix ive been with you guys since Frequency, the least thing you could do is consider them.

I must admit, I do love me some Thrice. I would have to say, tho, that if anything by them were to be in Rock Band, it would have to be from their 2 most recent albums. Everything from early, particularly Identity Crisis and The Illusion of Safety, is pretty repetitive (musically speaking). Their newer stuff is much different. Altho The Artist in the Ambulance might be a good song for the whole band to play.

i used to like thrice pretty well a number of years back and i wouldn't mind having some of their songs in rock band. i think they'd be pretty fun to play.

songs from identity crisis, the illusion of safety, or artist in the ambulance would be best in my opinion. songs such as betrayal is a symptom, paper tigers, to awake and avenge the dead, the red death, silhouette, or hoods on peregrine came to mind for me.

the only problem i could see is the occassional screamed/yelled lyrics or double bass.

that problem with screamed/yelled lyrics. thats something that makes me wonder about harmonix. they talk about having an entire library of rock. a museum of rock. but for some reason to me they try to ignore any part of history of rock with screaming in it. i wouldnt mind even a 3 track package like foo fighters. the messenger or firebreather. Image of the invisible and artist in the ambulance. to me thats a good package becuase it includes their most famous songs and they have little screaming besides messenger.

I'd take basically anything from Thrice. Awesome band.

Blood Clots and Black Holes would be cool.

I totally agree (as does my "band" of friends who I will be jamming with) that Thrice needs to be included at some point.

The aforementioned songs are excellent. My choices would include

Deadbolt: My first choice for song. Has wonderful guitar harmonization, powerful drumming and some intricate fret work.

So Strange I Remember You: Another strong song which incorporates interesting guitar work and drumming.

Under A Killing Moon

Fire Breather

To Awake and Avenge the Dead.

I tend to like the work Thrice has done earlier in their career, but pretty much any Thrice song would be a welcome track. Their music incorporates a lot of harmonization between different instruments (Especially guitars and vocals) thus would be a fun song to play with one's friends.

im glad everyone here feels the same way. does anyone know how to get harmonix attention. im sure im not the only one requesting a band. my only concern is the dlc recently announced by gamespot. awesome list going to buy most of the songs. but weezer and wolfmother caught my eye. good bands but it seems like harmonix is having these two bands in a way represent the current generations' sound. i agree with having queens of the stone age packages. i dont know about anyone else but after "woman" i had enough of wolfmother.

it gets me upset when i see guitar hero having the more impressive set list with the whole current rock list having . killswitch engage. rise against. slipknot. disturbed. and even THE SLEEPING.(just saw them live in AZ, INSANE BAND)
