Me and a few of my friend believe that we have come up with an amazing idea to make everyone happy about song choices and the creators about making money. What the creators should do is offer a program over xbox live were fans can pay a minimal fee (per song or per three pack) to make their own songs. This way everyone can choose the songs they want to play. Also they should allow everyone to submit their songs to the creators to check out and if it is good enough they can release it to be downloaded by others for a minimal fee. This will make it so much easier for the creators to release songs that the fans want to play and a lot faster.
Example: Everyone loves metalica, so say some one pays a buck or so and makes Enter the Sandman or something and its a great version and he submits it. The creators simply look it over and agree its a great version so they release it to be downloaded. Now everyone can pay a buck or so to download it and play with out the release of a new game.
Just think of how many songs would be availible to download. Rock Band creators could release a guitar hero 80G hard drive to store all your songs. Its a win win for everyone. Rock Band creators make the same amount of money per song but sell a ton more and fans get to play the songs they choose.
I know that MODers can already make the songs they want but this way everyone can and the creator dont lose money. I have been trying to find a good reliable way to MOD my 360 when I came up with this idea and I was more excited about this idea than MODing my XBOX. I'de rather pay and support the creators than steal money and end the franchise.
