Unfortunately i would have to get a 12 hour flight from the UK to get to a Best Buy with the demo in.

I haven't played it yet either. I live about 20 miles away from a Best Buy, but I've had a hard time finding a chunk of time to go and play it. I don't want to go up for 5 minutes, and only be able to play one song.
It's only two more weeks, I think since I've gone this far without playing, I might as well just wait and when I open that box on the 20th have my self a good old fashioned gamegasm.

I haven't played the demo yet. I can ride my bike to the local Best Buy. I don't really want to, though.
I want to get the game on the first day, crack open the box, put the disc in my XBox, and be totally wow-ified by all the cool and new stuff! I, personally, think the demo would ruin that moment for me.
I also hate it when people start telling me what happens in movies before I go and see them myself... Or movie trailers that reveal basically the whole plot. That's what I loved about The Matrix!

Ours doesn't have the demo, unfortunately. It's pretty sad, they don't even have a GH3 display set up yet. But whatever.
Also, your sig is not funny. In fact, it's kind of offensive.

I haven't played it yet. There is probably a Best Buy with a demo nearby (we're in Vancouver, WA, and there has got to be one in Portland at the very least), but my wife and I feel completely self-conscious when it comes to the idea of going out and playing the demo, especially given the fact that we'll probably suck to start off with. Furthermore, it is just my feeling that within days of the demo being set up, *something* is going to go wrong with it (controller being mangled, lag incorrectly set up on for the monitor, etc.)
I figure that I already want the game. I trust Harmonix. I trust all the reviewers. I trust the various bloggers who post their party-blogs where they just can't seem to stop from playing. That sort of mindset speaks to me. The casual gamer who is having too much fun to stop.
So, the demo wouldn't convince me to buy, 'cause I'm already going to buy. We paid off our pre-order weeks ago. There isn't really an upside to going to the demo, then, 'cause we're already on board, as it were.
The potential downside is that any fun-factor might make the next two weeks even *more* agonizing (whereas I'm already as excited as a kid waiting for Christmas, and I can't tell you the last time I was having this much fun waiting for something!). Worse yet, any anomalous demo problem or broken controller might leave a bad taste in my mouth, and might leave me with niggling doubts that have no rights being there.
Nah. Best just to leave it alone.
The demo is for those that need convincing, I figure.
Me? I'm convinced.

I'll just quote this dude, since this is exactly the way I feel. The only difference is I can drive. :p

Yes. I prefer to wait and play it when it is released. I missed the St. Louis tour date, my BB doesn't have it yet and the next time I go to that area I'll be picking up my pre-order anyway.
I can wait.

NIGGLING... nice word. Never seen it before, but nice! I'll have to find a use for it somewhere.
