Ok, VOTE FOR BANDS AND ALBUMS ONLY.
It's hard for me to tell whether its a song or an album and as of now, I'm not accepting songs.
If you vote for bands and songs, your votes will not be counted.

It's simple. Vote for your favorite bands and favorite albums that you would want to see in this game as DLC.

-In alphabetical order until votes get higher, then I'll put them in order by number of votes.
-Asterisks are bands I voted for.

You should limit the max bands someone can suggest or else you will have a list with 1000 of bands. If you let us only choose two bands, you will have a list with really all the Most Wanted bands, not with 1000 bands that have been suggested just once.

So, here are my two: (I will add more if you allow it, but I think everyone should just vote for two!)

Arcade Fire

Well, If a band is really wanted, they're gonna get the most votes. If the band isn't wanted, they will have less votes. Limiting you to only two bands won't do anything, except make it easier for me, but it's not about me. This is about what WE want, so a list of 1,000 bands is what I expect. Hopefully, if HMX does frequently check this section of the forums, they will notice the bands with high votes, and simply overlook bands with few votes. If a band only gets one vote, so be it. It will let HMX know that the people are not interested in this band. Vote more if you would like. There is no limit.

I tell you, you will stop doing this soon if you have to put 20 bands per user on this list.

Besides, the list is going to be long and not clearly. Besides, what's the sense in putting thousand of bands in this list if HMX is only looking at the first ones anyway.

Well, it's your work, so there you go:

The Cure
Arcade Fire
Placebo
Bloc Party
Stars
Death Cab For Cutie
Angels & Airwaves
Okkervil River
Papa Roach
Alien Ant Farm
blink182
Mew
Muse
Oasis
U2

I'm looking forward to saying to you "See, I told you." .... :p

Oh, but WHAT YOU REALLY NEED TO DO IS: Do not put this in alphabetical order, put the ones with the most Votes first, so that HMX can immediately see which bands we want the most.
They won't scroll through 1000 of bands and search for the one that is wanted the most, believe me.

Maybe your right but, people are going to vote for what they want so, the list is eventually going to have tons of bands on it. It would be unfair for me to limit the votes because I've voted for many myself, probably more than 20. And after everyone put their bands in, all I'm going to have to do is add numbers. It doesn't seem that difficult. The only difficult part is the beginning, which is mainly writing down the band names. Tallying up votes is the easy part.
The reason I'm letting everyone vote however much they want is because I have high hopes of DLC for Rockband to never end. I like your idea it seems to make more sense. As for now I'll leave it like this so I can find the band quicker and tally up the numbers. When the votes start piling up, I'll probably move onto your idea.

Muse!

Muse seems to be getting attention in this thread.

Hopefully Harmonix realizes how much their songs could benefit Rock Band, alot of them would be very fun to play in all aspects of the game.

Ctrl + F is your friend, sir.

I wanna see some more songs from The Ramones. Hmm.. Rancid can be good too as well, most of their songs are pretty balanced out for all players to have fun.

My votes are:
The Ramones
Rancid
Dead Kennedys

In with the good bands, out with the crappy ones..

It's just bands
I will gladly take out Hole for you :D

and i keep saying this but no one seems to understand.
It seems like DLC is mostly going to come in albums, so you can suggest an album for this, just make sure you have it next to the band so i know what band does the album

I'd like to see some Kamelot or Axenstar.

It's be hard to do Power metal songs, I imagine considering that most use double bass... that and there aren't many people with the same vocal range as Tony Kakko or Kotipelto.

There DEFINITELY needs to be some Led Zepplin. The drum and guitar charts are difficult in some of their songs, so I think a few Led Zepplin songs would be good for us veteran players (any other old school Drum Mania players here?).

Led Zeppelin-Black dog or Kashmir
Radiohead- More songs please!
MODEST MOUSE - I love most all of Modest Mouse, but there is one song in particular that would be great. It is called "Edit The Sad Parts". I doubt it would fly because it is not well known and older but the guitar part would be great.
Hot Hot Heat
The Strokes
Flaming Lips.

Oh and I know Zeppelin will never get into GH or Rockband. The band has turned down GH and RB multiple times, but for some reason accepted having a song played in Shrek 3. WTH?

"Lead Zeppelin"? That is one reason why LED Zeppelin refuses to be in the game. They purposely spelled it LED....

Some Queen! Killer queen was awesome in Guitar Hero (except for the horrible cover singer). I would love to play Bohemian Rhapsody and March of the Black Queen (they would have to censor the n-bomb though :x )! Some Perpetual Groove of of their "All the Everything" album and Umphrey's McGee's song Wife Soup would make me happy. Wife Soup would probably be the most fun out of my whole list.

My List in a Nutshell
Queen
Queen II

Bohemian Rhapsody
March of the Black Queen

Couple fun tunes from the 90's would be Low by Cracker, and Natural One from Folk Implosion.

I'd definitely pay a couple bucks for those songs.

For something much more light hearted, same song I suggested on the GH forums is Little Mac's Confession by swedish metal nintendo cover band Game Over. If, like me, you played the everliving crap out of Mike Tyson's Punch-Out, then you gotta listen to this thing: http://www.ocremix.org/remix/OCR00605/ (click on the download tab to get the mp3) Percussion would be tough without a double kick pedal but it'd still be a ton of fun.
