1. Take the Power Back, Rage Against the Machine- I think that if any Rage song is really appropriate for guitar, it's this one. This has less of Tom Morello's focus on pedals and effects, and more of his amazing fret speed. I like his effects, but I think this will be more fun to play.
2. Feeling This, blink 182- First off, I hate blink 182. Their vocals are terrible, and their guitar and bass aren't great. However, in terms of technical drumming, speed drumming, and sheer drumming ability Travis Barker is the man, and this song is his best work.
3. Highway to Hell, AC/DC- It's a classic, it's good, and it's not easy. End of story.
4. Down with the Sickness, Disturbed- The only real problem I can see with this song is how blatantly curse filled that bridge is. But myeh, they found a clever way around that with Killing in the Name, so I'm sure they're smart guys.
5. Welcome to the Black Parade, My Chemical Romance- Don't hurt me! It's a good song until that guy starts singing, so maybe, when given a chance to sing it, someone else can finally make it a good song.
6. No More Sorrow, Linkin Park- If you metalheads haven't heard this song yet, you'll probably yell at me for even suggesting Linkin Park, but go give this song a listen. It rocks out.
7. Take a Look Around, Limp Bizkit- This isn't from me liking Limp Bizkit so much as thinking it would be a nice change of pace to throw a little more rap-metal in there for the vocal variety.
8. MIA, Avenged Sevenfold- Yes, another a7x song! While this one may seem to drag on forever, it's always worth it to just sit there and bask in the glow of the solo.
9. Anna Molly, Incubus- A great, technical song by Incubus, good for vocals, guitar, and drums.
And finally number ten for which you will all despise me.
10. Homecoming: The Death of St. Jimmy/East 12th Street/Nobody Likes You/Rock and Roll Girlfriend/Homecoming, Green Day- The first question you ask is "Green Day! Why would you play Green Day?" I say, this song rocks. From the opening riff to the closing shouting match, it's amazing. The snare rolls in Nobody Likes You, the rock in Rock and Roll Girlfriend, this song would be amazing fun to play. Your second question is "9 minutes! Why would you play for 9 minutes?" Two words: Free Bird.
Alright, now come bomb and flame my setlist. It'll be awesome fun.
