Here is my suggested setlist. A lot of it is alternative/pop/punk rock. I find Guitar hero has too much metal and more classic rock, but rarely any punk rock. Especially with the singing peripheral, some screaming needs to be implemented!

Hell, just a single Rise Against song be included in RB and I'd be delighted. Feedback?

Sorry, I'm a huge punk fan, but did you say there needs to be more screaming? Have you ever listened to metal?

The main problem with punk is that it's all too easy. This won't necessarily be a game for a lot of 3-chord guitar bands, nor would, say the White Stripes fit well. While Jack White is a great guitarist, the drums are just too simple and not fun.

I'm also not sure you chose the best songs by every band. Give It All is Rise Against's best song anyhow, Fat Lip's simple instrumentals in favor of rap-rock style doesn't mesh well, and the multiple vocalists of The River could throw off many, especially since M. Shadows has such a distinctive and unique vocal style.

I like the idea of your list, but I'm not sure it would work.

I dont really like much Punk but i do like Blink 182 but i think if u were going to have a song by them in the game it would be First Date its not their most popular song but its one with some good guitar in it the drums are really good and the vocals would be kinda challenging i just think it would be the best choice for a song by them

i think that alot of this punk stuff can be real easy to play too. I have been playing to the guitar for over 8 years now and Im now that bad and i know that bands like green day and blink 182 and bands like this do not have the hardest stuff to play. Im not saying i dont like them i just dont think they belong in this game. I think this game should look for bands like dream theater and symphomy x with challenging guitar parts. I know that pertrucci is a master at what he does and any song by him in this game with present a challenge to us guitar players. Im just basically looking for more then power chords in this game and i want to see some progressive music really get reconinzed in this game. But thats my two cents.



Also Alter Bridge and Mark Tremonti are going to change the rock world that we know today.Promise that!

Don't knock blink-182 completely. Their guitar may be simple, but give their drumming a good listen. I think part of what some people haven't really realized with their setlists is that this is rock band. It's not guitar hero anymore, and people need to start thinking up technical songs for drum, bass, and vocals now. blink-182 definitely has a couple, but the three mentioned here are not necessarily the best.

Feeling This, also known as Action. It's not their greatest work as a band, but it is by far Travis Barker's best song. It's good enough to be probably the big finale song for a solo drum career, or at least in the last couple of sets.

wow too much rise against. and rooftops is possibly the worst song you could pick by LP. their older stuff like kobraki and shinobi vs. dragon ninja is alot better.

Yep i guess your right i do like first date better as a song but i guess that one has more guitar than drums feeling this would be a good pick though
