OK, today I start up RB and it tells me to download an update. Not a problem, I do it, then I get back to the title screen and right when it comes up the game freezes. I clear my cache and redownload it, same thing. I clear my cache, unplug the ethernet cable, then start up the game to avoid getting the update. The game works fine then. I download the update, freezes. To clarify, it is a hard freeze. Nothing is responsive and I cannot back out to the dashboard. Other games work fine. Any one else have any problems with the recent update?
Edit: Fixed it. I had to delete the Music Store Data and Rock Band Downloads Data files.
I am having this problem exactly. What do you mean "delete the Music Store Data and Rock Band Downloads Data files". Do you mean delighting the the DLC files? Ive got over a hundred songs downloaded. WTF.

you will need to delete the music store data as well as the downloaded songs file. ITS OK TO DELETE THEM. when your connected to xbox live you can redownload them again free of charge since you already paid for them
I have now been on support with Rockband for 3 1/2 hours and 6 people and no one has any idea what is going on with this. I would be ashamed if I worked for this company. Here's a brief synopsis of my experience with EA support 650-628-1001
Call 1: Described the problem --said it was microsofts problem, call xbox support.
Call 2 Described the problem to Microsoft -- said they can tell you how to clear the cache but thats it. that was already done, they said it was a software question.
Call 3 Described the problem -- CSR said that he asked everyone in the group and no one knew that I needed to call Technical Support, and they were Warrenty support.
Call 4 Described the problem-- CSR said she couldnt help but if I called back and hit 2 when the automated system picked up it would go to technical support.
Call 5 Option 2 is for "any software other than Rockband" couldn't help
Call 6 Called and just wanted "Tech support" at CSR told me that Warrenty group WAS Tech Support--Described the problem. EA disconnected me.
Call 7 Once again just wanted tech support, CSR said "I just started but i'll help you, I'll just send you out a new disk" I told him that wasn't the problem. Then got disconnected.
Tired of calling right now maybe I'll try again when the next shift starts.
The best help I got was here from fellow Rock band players. None of them even knew that the problem existed. I think the fifth guy said "just listen to the message board folks, but I don't know if you can get your songs back if you delete them"
Wow

why dont you look up at my post
I did look at your post and I appreciate it, but it would be reassuring if any of the people that are paid to support thier product could answer some questions on how to help out a customer. Correct me if I'm wrong aznman08, you are not an employee of EA or HMX. I don't doubt your help, but I don't think I'm overreacting if I'm reluctant in deleting over $200 worth of DLC because a dude on a thread said that I should.
I'm just saying it would be nice if they could support your method of fixing the product.
