I am! GameStop is such a consumer-friendly business, how could they do such a thing???

Or preorder 1 copy for yourself because that's all you need.

Why would you want more than one? To sell it on e-bay?

Or order 2 so that you can have 2 drum kits and 2 guitars like I did ;)
I don't want to wait until who knows when to get a RB guitar...

I fail to see how this is a problem unless you're trying to rip someone off on ebay.

It is a sign of things to come is all. If you think Gamestop doesn't want you to give them money then you are being kinda naive. EA said that this thing would be limited so get them while you can and this is 2 weeks from launch and that very thing starting to happen. If you plan to get it you should reserve it soon from your place of choice.

What you could do is put it under someone elses name? I know my store wouldn't mind. Its good for our numbers.

The GameStop in my town let me reserve 2 copies of Rock Band without a problem. They were more than happy to take my money. And no, I am not selling the 2nd one on ebay, it is a Xmas gift for a family member.

Now that is a good reason, and I am sorry for not having considered that. I shouldn't jump to the conclusion that everyone ordering more than 1 is doing it just to scam other people on ebay.

That would be the plan. Why not? If someone is going to pay the price for something that is highly in demand, especially for the holiday season. Get two RB bundles and have yours paid for free after your extra bundle pulls in twice the amount.
And if it's a really hot item that is out of stock for several weeks, you might just pull in more than double.

PREACH ON! I made more than $700 on the UT 2004 COLLECTOR'S EDITIONS for the PC. Got them at Best Buy the morning of release, bought all 7 of them at the store, and turned them on ebay for double (sometimes more).

Nice misconception about eBay. We sellers don't force people to pay a price. they bid the price up, not us. If they get ripped off its their own fault.

The eBay selling thing depends on the situation. If people want the game they can pre-order right now and them refusing too is all well and good because they are paying extra for being stubborn but if they don't have time to take off work so they can camp out when the store opens and you charge them double later for having a job that sucks. They could always just wait to buy the thing I guess but that applies to the rest of the year. When non-gamer parents that can't afford to take off work have to pay double later because their kids didn't tell them about a game soon enough and somebody bought up all the copies so they can sell them online then I can't say I am a fan of eBay. However when the forum troll thinks he is to smart to reserve a game that is going to sell like crazy because he heard from some guy on gaf that insert game store here will have like a million copies then I don't see any issue with him learning a lesson about supply and demand.
