Below is an e-mail I sent to Wilco's management, and just above it is their reply. Man, I would love some Wilco in this game.

Josh,

Thanks for the kind words and for supporting Wilco. We're definitely aware of the game and think it would be a good fit, too. Please pass our thanks to everyone who's suggested it in the forums...hopefully, it will work out at some point!

All the best,
Emily

Dear Mr. Margherita,

I was curious if you or Jeff Tweedy have ever been contacted by anyone from Harmonix about including Wilco music in the Rock Band video game. You're probably familiar with the game, but, just in case, it's a console game (PS3, Xbox, Wii) where you play the drums, guitar, bass and vocals of songs from a large variety of artists.

The game offers weekly downloadable content of songs to play in the game, and I would love to see Wilco songs available for purchase. It would be so fun to play Wilco songs like "Impossible Germany", "Outtasite", "I Got You", "I'm the Man Who Loves You" or "Handshake Drugs" in this game. In my opinion, many of Wilco's songs would translate so well into the game play, and I would love to be able to play one of my favorite band's songs.

I've seen Wilco brought up on several occasions on the forum boards for the game. Many people have suggested adding their music.

Maybe I'm dreaming, but man would I be happy to add some of their music to my catalog for Rock Band.

I'd love to hear back.

Thank you for your time.

Sincerely,
Josh ********

Not quite sure you want to post her telephone number. She might get pissed and it could backfire. Still a nice note and very cool response.

Point taken and edit performed, even though it's on the web-site.

Thanks.

Hopefully, they're working on getting some tracks in already, that would be great.

Hopefully... I shouldn't be so cynical but I'm losing my patience for some good recent DLC.

There can only be so much crap in a row. It seemed like the management genuinely was interested in Rock Band or Guitar Hero, so that's a good thing.

Well it sounds like the band is at least open to the idea. That's a good sign. Hopefully HMX is working on something.

I actually requested "Outtasite (Outta Mind)" yesterday before seeing this thread!
