Anyone else hate computer games? I've always hated them with a passion, which is why I turned to video game consoles. But when you don't have a choice (like Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 for example), it really sucks. I installed the game yesterday, and it just encountered problems. I figured I'd patch it to the latest version, but by doing so, it just completely messed up the game. Now my game won't even start, even though the cd is right there, in the cd tray.

ARRRRRRRRRRRG. I swear, I don't think I've ever owned a computer game that had no problems. Viva el consoles!

That and computer gaming seems to have devolved into only 3 genres: shooters, RTS games and MMORPGs.

I miss the golden days of the Lucasarts adventures and Baldur's Gate games.

I have always been a console gamer. I have tried online MMO's like World of Warcraft and Lord of the Rings Online, but they just don't do it for me.

I miss really good games for the PC. I'm with Lex on the LucasArts games.. Never did finish that, what was it, 4-disc Baldur's Gate game. xD

the only game my computer chokes up on is oblivion
everything else is fine

i do most of my gaming on my computer but i do like the consoles for some games. i don't think RTS's will never catch on for the consoles though.

Much big PC gamer here. There is more variety of games on the PC to me. You'd never see a true representation of The Sims on a console (whether or not you like that sort of thing), as an example. There are new adventure type games out there being made, if you mean the point and click stuff. I can't say how the quality or whatever for many of them though.

If you want an awesome point and click adventure game find "The Longest Journey"...there was a sequel to it and it wasn't bad either, but the original, many claim is the BEST point and click adventure game ever. Epic story.

And as far as the Sam and Max stuff, Lucasarts no longer exists for it, but there are NEW Sam and Max point and clickers. Go to www.telltalegames.com (I think that's the address) and look at the site. Those are GREAT adventure games. They are episodic in nature, and they just recently finished their 2nd "Season". Funny and awesome adventure games.

really the only Computer Games i've played are... Counter-Strike. Soldier of Fortune. and Half-Life.

i'd wish Valve would make another Counter-Strike for the 360... And make it much better than the XBOX Version (Which i do own)

Those Halo 2 mods are FREAKING AWESOME.

i would buy an modded XBOX just for the halo 2 mods... those were fun.

one mod i loved was, when driving the Warthog... Everytime you would Honk the horn, it would play the halo theme.
