Another Question about Rock Band

I would like to know if Rock Band will let you use any of the 4 career instruments in solo? Say you would to play the single game playing only drums or just by the vocal point from the mike. I am asking this because the 360 achievement list has specific awards for each of the instruments. If any of you know an answer to this please let me know. Thanks in advance.

Every instrument except the bass has it's own solo career mode.

I think you can still play the bass parts by yourself in quick play even though there is no career.

At the BestBuy Demo I was able to play Bass solo in quick play. Makes me happy to not be limited to practice for bass solo!

Oddly enough, the advertisement in last month's EDM states you can play a bass career. Either it was put together when that was still on the table or it's a mistake.
