If I have to get a new xbox because the old on broke or something, and all the songs I download for that xbox will be gone? Or will they transfer to the new xbox... Cause I would hate to have to buy over 100.00 with of songs again...

PLease reply asap!

You can re-download your DLC to any Xbox you're logged into without having to pay for it again.

Hence you can download your DLC to a friend's Xbox, though he can only play your songs if you're logged in on his machine.

ok thanks, cause there is something wrong with my disc drive and I'm missing a tool to try and fix it. but if I can then I need to buy a new one. Thanks a lot, that takes a lot of worry off of my chest.

Once you buy a new Xbox, you can use the Microsoft License Transfer tool to relicense all your DLC to the new Xbox. That way you can still play them while offline too.

Why not just send the box for repair? Unless you opened it and did some "tweaking" if you know what I mean!
