Yeah, i just got my bass amplifier back from repairs, you could say it.. uh.. RROD's on me =P wow, it sure is nice to be able to play bass at uneccesary high levels. I may have spent random amounts of time at Wal-Mart playing imaginary bass, but nothing beats the real thing.
So, in order to make this a meaningful post, rather than just me being jubilated that I have my amplifier after being without it since MAY.... An i'm sure this has been already asked, Anyone else here a real life musician as well as shredder of plastic guitar? If so, what you got!?
I have a Dean Z Vintage bass - Black, it's pretty much the definition of Metal.
I also have a Squier Precision Bass, Black - It's a cheap thing, I'm looking forward to getting some new pickups for this baby, painting it white.
a Washburn somrthingorother - Black - was my first bass, piece of crap.
I also have a BC Rich 6-String Guitar, got it for $50, has a broken pickup, but it's great for the $$
I play on a Behringer 4120B Bass combo-amp. All the power I need, and a cheap Fender Frontman 10" Amp for my guitar.
I also have a set of Enforcer Drums in my basement and a Yamaha keyboard.

I'm away at school, and though I have plenty of space in my apartment, my car can only carry so much of my stuff from home. That being said, I brought my Yamaha portable grand, but I don't remember the specific model of it. It's not quite the Estonia "non-portable" grand I'm used to from back home, but it's good enough.
Guitar wise, I brought along my Alvarez (AD62SC), an acoustic-electric which I picked up a few years ago.
Back at home, other than the piano, I have some random bass guitar, and an entry level Ibanez electric. When I leased my car back in the winter, Volkswagen was giving away electric guitars, so if that finally showed up in the mail, its probably sitting in a box in my room back home. Other than that, I have a few small Roland amps. Nothing too special.

I play guitar. Have been doing so for about two years now.
My main guitar has become my Washburn WI14, but I have an acoustic stuffed in my closet when I feel like going unplugged.

I've got a Silvertone electric and a cheapo Washburn Lyon Acoustic, and I love them both! Starting now to get into slide guitar, and what I really want is a nice resonator.

I come from a family of all musicians, and I play multiple instruments. Guitar is my main instrument, 6 1/2 years under the belt, I play drums a little bit (I can keep a beat, but not Neal Peart drum fills), I play keyboards/piano as my 2nd instrument (been playing about a year and a half), I write all sorts of music, and can play bass relatively well. If you want to hear me babble about my equipment, PM me if you really care (I doubt anyone does).

Been a guitarist for 34 years now. Recently bought a Marshall JVM410C combo but I think I am done with the MArshall band wagon. Too much mud, not enough control and noisy. They just continue to go down hill in my opinion and this was rated their best achievement to date, bleh!
So after two weeks I took it back and decided on a new Fender Twin Reverb 65' Reissue. I have a real nice SKB pedal board and run a TU-2 tuner, Old vintage Dunlop Wah, A compression sustainer, a Vintage fuzz and for some distortion I have a BBE Green Screamer tube simulator. Gives just enough edge but keeps me nice and clean to boot.
I have had tons of equipment over the years but lately been grinding out on my 61' Reissue SG. This guitar has the best playing neck ever and I just can't put it down. The bottom end is insane with my neck pickup runnning through that Fender. Music has always been my life and is a real big deal in our family and household.

I have a Kerry King Warlock and a cheap Hondo II strat. I also have this old, old, old acoustic. Have a Marshall practice amp and a Boss Distortion pedal. I usually bum other people's stuff. That is about to change because I'm getting a raise and I'm about to start adding to my musical needs

Not terribly talented here, but I do play guitar. I've got a dark green Hamer "Slammer series". If you want a picture just find a picture of Glenn Tipton (of Judas Priest fame), he's usually playing the exact same guitar.
I can play very little. I mostly just fool around and jam to no particular beat but I do know "I Can't Explain" by The Who, "Cut My Hair" by The Who, "Pictures Of Lily" by The Who, the backing track to "The Show Must Go On" by Queen (which I constantly play with a latin flair to it) and "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" by Queen

I've been playing bass for about 8 or 9 years, playing guitar for about double that...
Guitars:
'81 Fender Bullet H-2 w/ dual humbuckers and coil taps on each
http://pubpages.unh.edu/~cjones/83Guits.jpg
Second one from the left, same red. Sadly, best image I can find of one, they're not too common.
Synsonics Terminator? An el-cheapo Toys 'R' Us special that my wife got when she was young, who then gave it to her brother, who then gave it to me a year or two ago.

Not with that sh!tty-looking hardware on there, stock floating bridge, minus whammy bar. It's fun having a sh!tty sounding guitar with it's own sh!tty-sounding amp. Seriously raunchy and gritty. :D
Bass:
Ibanez Iceman, which you can see in my avatar. If my filesharing sites weren't blocked at work, i'd link to a bigger image.
Frankenstein Jazz Bass knockoff. Built from random parts. At least the neck is a Fender, I think. I don't remember. The thing looks like sh!t, has a DOD pedal knob on the tone, but it plays great, and is light as heck!
Amps:
Crate BX100 - My main amp at the moment. Doesn't sound great, but gets loud enough, and has DI out.
Peavey 10 watt practice amp - Triple-duty as a home practice amp, footrest under my desk, and a wife-headache-giver. :D

Here we go. That is my axe. My main beef is no whammy bar, but it still does a good job for a $400 guitar!

This is gonna blow people's minds but my primary instrument that i have the most experience with is my beloved Trombone. Been playing since 1993, so that's 14 years. I also have a Fender Squire Strat that i pluck around with, but want to seriously learn on. I have a simple Fender Frontman practice amp that has the Dimebag Wah plugged into it. I also have a Jazz drum set that i can hold a beat with and some Violins and a Yahama keybord. I'm pretty into my music.

Another thing about my setup, or soon to be, is no pedals.
Dont need pedals.. maybe a pedal so i can change between clean and distortion settings faster, but no wah, tremelo, or anything of the sort.

I killed a pedal board about twenty years ago and just recently started using one again. I use a TU-2 tuner, A vintage cry baby, a compression pedal, a vintage fuzz face, and a BBE green screamer for just the right crunch. Running through a Fender Twin Reverb 65' Reissue and I have a killer tone.
To each their own . All that really matters is that your having fun and enjoying the tone and sound you get. I am finsihed with Trem's, Floyd's, and Whammy bars though. Been having a blast with my 61' Reissue SG and the bottom end with the p90's are insane.

Yeah Floyd Roses are a pain in the ass to restring :( Thats why if I took a picture of mine instead of getting a random one off the internet, one of the strings is broken. Good thing about it though is I haven't had to replace a string in a VERY long time due to just using the ends of the strings over and over again.

this thread makes me sad.
had:
guitars
74 gibson firebird
89 limited edition warlock with stock floyd rose and double humbuckers
78 peavey tube amp out to 2 5' colums with 4 10"s each
basses
90 ibanez sg precision neck with EMGs
unknown year vox jazz neck with EMGs
unknown year hoffner with EMGs (the hollow body style that McCartney used to play in the 60s... it had a hoffner lable on the inside, but apparently it was a knock off, which was ok since i only paid $25 for it at a garage sale... i put the EMGs in it myself)
Traynor amp out to custom cabinets with 2 15" black widows.
the amps I had to sell at one point, the hoffner i gave to someone and everything else got stolen :(
the only thing i have left is my yamaha acoustic guitar... and it needs some serious fretboard and bridge work since it refuses to stay in tune any longer.

I play guitar... haha.
I axe is a Ibanez ART100 (upgrading to some SD humbuckers soon)
Crate Flexwave blew, playing with a 15-watt Peavey transtube rage... Ordering a Marshall JVM415H 100-watt tuber.
I mostly play Guitar Hero to be honest, don't really like Rock Bands layout... But it's an awesome game, good enough for me to become a member on the site, lmao.
