Hello there everybody! One of my favourite bands of all time, Trust Company obviously, is one that very few people seem to know (I couldn't find them on the Thread of Threads, so I started this). The two albums they have, The Lonely Position of Neutral and True Parallels, I found were pretty awesome(I can't wait for the new album that they're releasing). The song that a couple of you may recognize is Downfall which apparently reached some form of popularity once upon a time. A good chunk of their songs I figured might be good to add to Rock Band's DLC, especially the faster and heavier stuff (don't get me wrong, I like the slower stuff too). My personal favourites are: "Downfall", "Figure 8", "Drop to Zero", "Take it All", "Stronger", "Fold" and "Retina". For those of you who would like to sample their music, I will supply Youtube videos.

"Figure 8" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5W9P9pR5aU

"Downfall" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8j-TW6OJyog

"Stronger" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QNtH4CqtJDI

"Fold" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=R_5ePIgxNUU

Sorry if these aren't that great, also the last one is an Anime music Video, that was pretty much all I could find. Thank you.

While this isn't the type of music I typically listen to, it definitely sounds like it would be fun to play. I'd probably buy DLC of these guys if it were released.

Thanks for taking a shot at listening to them! All I really needed was some feed back.

I'm surprised at how few people there are that know these guys. The first song I heard by them was Downfall and that was on another game (MX Unleashed in case anybody wants to know). I then got both of their albums and loved them. I don't know exactly what to classify them as though, anybody else know?

Downfall is awesome. I saw them live in 2001 with The Used, Boxcar Racer, and NFG, and they were really good live (Although a little muffled; his mic was messed up I think). I still listen to that song like every week though.

That said, since nobody has heard of them, this is way more likely to be released in GHWT. After all, if it isn't Boston, Metallica, or Rush, it won't be DLC here.

Woo hoo! Only 2 more posts until we have a full page! I've been trying to get to one of their concerts, but they don't have any stops in Canada... sigh... Looking forward to their new CD they're working on, hoping they can keep up the good work. Well, here's to a whole page... if we get one...

Ever since the release of Rockband, I have thought about Trust Company being in Rockband! They are my favorite band of all time :). I would like all of their songs on there. I have both CDs and I have not found a song I did not like. But if they only release a 10 song pack, like Nirvana, they should include 5 songs from The Lonely Position of Neutral (2002) & 5 songs from True Parallels (2005):

The Lonely Position of Neutral
Downfall
Falling Apart (My Favorite :))
Deeper Into You
Hover
Figure 8

Maybe put in Running from Me, too, I like that one

True Parallels
Stronger
The War is Over
The Reflection
Erased
Crossing the Line

If possible, also Retina should be included

^ Nice choices. I'd agree with you, Trust Company has no "songs I don't like" they only have "songs I love" and "songs that I don't love quite as much". I have a lot of bands that I do the same thing with (eg. Linkin Park, Muse, Oasis, Offspring, Foo Fighters...[granted some of those I haven't listened to all of their songs]).

Wow, haven't been back since November... should check in more often. Alright, since it's Christmas Eve...

I love Linkin Park, Offspring, and Foo Fighters. Not a big fan of Muse, though. But you seem like you have good taste in music :). haha. TC is the best! :D

Thank you. We do have some of the same musical tastes, mind you mine is all over the place. From Three Days Grace to Electric Light Orchestra... Abingdon Boys School to Paramore as long as it sounds good. Language is not a barrier for me, if I don't understand it, that's okay. Abingdon Boys School is a Japanese band that, in my opinion, has elements of Linkin Park as well as Trust Company

Trust Company needs to go to Canada on tour so I can go watch them. I'm eagerly anticipating their new album. Have you heard their cover of "Rock the Casbah"? It's pretty cool.

haha. I was about to ask you the same thing. I love their cover of Rock the Casbah. I have it on my iPod, it took FOREVER to find. But their best cover they did is, without a doubt Time After Time, if you have not heard it, you can find it on youtube. That song is absolutely immense, probably one of my favorite songs right now, but sadly, I cannot find it, But I just imported their CDs to my iPod. They have an unreleased track I believe, called Today. It's really good, but I can't find it. But yeah I feel these same way about language. I like a band called Revolverhead. They are German, but great. I really like Generation Rock by them. I found it on Guitar Hero, and I looked up some more stuff by them, and I must say they're great. And I have a HUGE diversity of music too, I'm not all that picky, just as long as it's something I can listen to and get into. I can listen to something as soft as the CD, The Swiss Army Romance by Dashboard Confessional, which is their acoustic stuff, but I must say it's their best stuff, in my opinion. And I can listen to something as hard as Necrophagist, which are extremely insane, but awesome.

I was also gonna mention a band called Anberlin, they're probably my 2nd favorite band. Stephen Christian has some of the most amazing vocals. You can notice in their cover of Love Song, or my favorite by them, The Promise. I have all of their songs, but some quick favorites include: The Promise, Love Song, Paperthin Hymn, The Unwinding Cable Car, Never Take Friendship Personal, Godspeed, their Christmas Song: Baby Please Come Home, [Dance Dance, Christa Paffgen] - All one song, & Alexithymia. I don't know if I'm crazy, but unlike a lot of bands nowadays, these guys have a lot of variety in their sound, along with Christian's amazing vocal talent. If you have never listened to them, they are really worth it. If you have, then I've pretty much told you everything you know. haha, But I'm bored and cannot go to bed.

The only Anberlin song I've heard is "Glass to the Arson", which I love, and several people have suggested I listen to them, but I keep procrastinating:)(need to stop doing that)... Most of the songs you mentioned I did not know. I feel as if I have brought shame to Trust Company fans everywhere, I'm sorry guys. Do you know of Our Lady Peace? I've been listening to them quite a bit recently, as well as Rise Against, Paramore and Shinedown. Now I need to go find some Anberlin...

I know a few songs by Our Lady Peace, not a lot. The ones I've heard were pretty good. I love Rise Against, Paramore, & Shinedown, though :)

I used to like Trust Company when I was younger. Anymore, I find them too generic and boring for an immense amount of songs. I could see Rock Band getting a couple, but I'd probably only get 1 or 2 depending on the charts, myself.

xBrushedRedx
12-30-2008, 03:29 AM
I don't think they're generic, I've always thought that Kevin Palmer's voice always stuck out & I can pick it out from anywhere. I think his voice is pretty neat. They have some slower songs that would be boring on Rockband, I will agree, but I still like them. Most of them are pretty fun. A few of the more boring ones on Rockband would be Silently, Without a Trace, and Today. But ones like Downfall, Falling Apart, Stronger, The War is Over, and Erased would be the most fun... Especially Erased and Falling Apart. I think they should all be on there though :)... Although that will never happen. :(. A pack with Downfall, Stronger, Falling Apart, Erased, & The War is Over would be good.

...Oh & let's not forget Figure 8, that should go in there somewhere! That's always been a favorite, too!

Haven't heard "Downfall" in quite a long time. Would be a fun song to have in the game.

I agree. The End of Nothing by Funeral for a Friend would be great too. They remind me of Trust Company a little.

Everyone is entilted to their opinions. My opinion is that Trust Company is really good. Figure 8 is my personal favourite so I would definately put that in any of my lists. Nice picks though, the ones you picked are pretty much my other favourites, missing Fold though. I'm glad to see that this place is getting more attention now... maybe HMX will wander in and bring some TC to RB. Then my check list will be complete... wow... that's awesome.
Here's to TC, you guys rock!

Ahh. Fold's another good one, I think that I should be in charge of DLC. The week that I would be in charge of would have every single TC song :). I wonder how you get to make DLC suggestions.

Also, we'd have to put some Brand New in there. They're definately 3rd favorite band. They are amazing & have great lyrics & use of vocals. Check Sic Transit Gloria...Glory Fades & Guernica. Both are absolutely amazing. The Quiet Things That No One Ever Knows is great too, especially with their instruments, however I have not quite figured out what that song's about. I would definately put up the whole album, Deja Entendu.

Guess what? Trust Company's coming here Jan. 10!!! I was excited, then I learned I had to be 21 to get in :(. Sigh... I would have loved to have gone. But still it's cool to know they're coming.

Excellent, I'm glad to see I'm not the only one who has listened to and loved Trust Company. I too thought they would be awesome to have in Rock Band. At very least, we need a three track pack. It would of course, have to contain Downfall.
I picked up their Lonely Position of Neutral album forever ago, loved it, but never heard anything else from them. I'll have to check more into them. Here's praying for DLC for Trust Company...

I know for real :P. If we have to have a 3-track pack. They could include: Downfall, The War Is Over, & Stronger. If you didn't already know, Trust Company released a CD called True Parallels. It's really good :) It came out in '05. They are planning to release a CD this year sometime.

Haven't been back for awhile, sorry people.

Nice to see that we're still slowly growing. And we need some TC for the Band of Rockness. The three pack suggested I find to have very good choices (mind you any Trust Company is fantastic). Let's continue to hope for future DLC, although I haven't minded what we've been getting recently... heeheehee love "Oh Pretty Woman" fantastic song.

I could def go for some of the bands u guys have mentioned, TC is a great band as is Our Lady Peace & Anberlin. I also like 2 see Seether or Skillet in RB as well there are quite a few "Mainstream" Rock talents out there that have awesome potential for RB.

I'm a Trust Company fan and I have to say, The Lonely Position of Neutral is one of my favorite nu-metal albums. I didn't like True Parallels as much, but it's still pretty good. "Running From Me", "Hover", and "Take It All" are probably my favorite songs by them. Haven't they broken up and they are now just getting back together? I heard that somewhere...

Glad you asked that question! I know quite a bit about Trust Company actually seeing as they are from around where I live. Okay, they made the Lonely Position of Neutral in 2002. Then in 2005, they released True Parallels after a slight delay. They broke up afterwards & Kevin Palmer (vocalist) & his wife, I forgot her name, started a band called Amity Lane in 2006ish-2007, something like that. They made an album & yes it is good, but a little different from actual Trust Company. Trust Company actually recently got back together and are touring, but mainly in small places since they are just getting back together after a long breakup. They were supposed to release a record back last year, but it never happened, so hopefully it'll be out this year. Hopefully I helped.

Dreaming In Black And White? It came out earlier this year and it's pretty good. Solid comeback album.

But yeah, I think Trust Company is a definite RBN candidate band. Anything off of their debut would be awesome specifically "Running From Me" and "Hover".
