Run To The Hills cover... pretty darn good!

I was elated when I heard this song was in the game, and pretty nervous when I heard it was a cover.

But after watching the video, I must say, I'm pretty impressed. Granted, it still sounds like a cover, but the singer they got is nearly perfect. Probably as perfect as an Iron Maiden cover singer can get.

One of my favorite rock songs ever, and still one of the Rock Band songs I'm the most excited to play. Kudos, Harmonix.

Agreed. I was also nervous when i heard it was a cover, but after hearing it, its a pretty damn good cover. I give it a B+, where the original is an A.

If you don't listen to them back to back, the cover sounds almost spot on, at least to me. Really well done, I think it might be the best cover out of all of them!

I have to say as a die hard maiden fan it's a good enough cover, the vocalist is no Bruce Dickinson ie he doesn't seem to have the range that Bruce has, but he does a decent enough job it could have been worse, i didn't quite like the background vocals for the chorus but apart from that not too bad.

HMX has in the past done a good job on the covers. This one included. It is tough when you know the band well and compare the two with a fine tooth comb.

A few of my favorite bands with vocals that for me would be tough to hear a cover for-

Rock And Roll All Night(Stanley/Simmons)- (GH3) :( Just here because I am a big Kiss fan and this was trashed.
Last Child(Tyler)- I loved the music but vocally :(
More Then A Feeling(Delp) was fantastic for a cover.

Anyway, Covers for RB that I have heard have been very good so far. Great job HMX.

I don't like the paranoid cover at all. But Ozzys voice is one of a kind. I thought the Ozzy on GH1 sounded better than the one used for Paranoid.

Yeah, you can barely hear them when you can clearly hear the drums. Just a notch higher for the guitars and it would be much better.
At least the bass is awesome though - thats the most important part ;)
