Avenged Sevenfold: Burn It Down, Blinded In Chains, Bat Country (mainly for the solo), Trashed and Scattered, Sidewinder, Eternal Rest, or Unholy Confessions.
The Confession: Burn The Virgin, Dance With The Devil, Jealousy, or No Angel.
(I suggest looking these guys up if you don't know of them. Their first full length cd was produced by M. Shadows of A7X.)
Bullets and Octane: My Disease, Save Me Sorrow, Cancer California, or Mine Now.
(Again if you haven't heard of them, look them up!)
Papa Roach: Last Resort, Dead Cell, Blood Brothers, M-80, Getting Away With Murder, or To Be Loved.
(The older the better in my opinion.)
Bullet For My Valentine: Four Words (To Choke Upon), Tears Don't Fall, or Suffocating Under Words Of Sorrow.
Killswitch Engage: The End of Heartache, When Darkness Falls, A Bid Farewell, Rose of Sharyn, Daylight Dies, The Arms of Sorrow, or My Curse.
Not to mention KoRn, Zombie, Seether, Static X, Stone Sour/Slipknot, System of a Down, and some others.
I could do this all day. I'd like to see some more current stuff in Rock Band. Older songs are cool and all but some of the new riffs and such coming out these days are SICK and being able to play them over and over again would be a hell of a lot of fun.

I don't like much current stuff, except for some of the bands coming out of the U.K. The modern american stuff (well atleast the popular stuff) sucks, if modern music was better they'd have more of it. There are still many many songs and bands to put in from before the 21st century.

well to say my list is all current or modern would be wrong.
most of those bands have been around for a while now and even in Guitar Hero 1 and 2 you had a mix of the old with some new and I think thats how it should be.
i like to be able to go back and play the classics as well as play the new **** because its what ive been listening to over the past few months or the past year or whatever.
Bullet For My Valentine is one of those UK bands you speak of and unless you have heard Bullets and Octane or The Confession then I don't think you should say they are more modern or popular music. Bullets has been compared to Guns N Roses, more or less because of their style and attitudes I think than because of their music, but their music is good nonetheless. As for The Confession, these guys can shred. They have some really sick riffs in my opinion and are going to be one of those bands you're going to hear a lot more about in the coming years.
