At least for the one of the two. Of course, the one I pre-ordered at one mile away wasn't so I had to check if the other still had openings so I canceled and pre-ordered again. Hell yeah, gonna be jamming all night long.

That's cool. I wonder if my Best Buy is doing one like they did for Halo 3 and Guitar Hero III?

I just need to go pre-order the thing. I hate GameStop, and I bet they wind up taking more pre-orders than they can fulfill. I've been down that road too many times.

Time to ask around today!

I just called my local gamestop...the one I preordered at, and he was completely clueless...saying he "didn't think so"....wow. But I don't see how they could not, considering they did a GHIII midnight launch that I attended, and also, two very high profile games are being released the same day...Mass Effect and of course Rock Band.

Tantric, the Gamestop I pre-ordered from is probably the busiest place to get games in my area. They aren't doing a midnight release because of lack of pre-orders.

It's not so much that they'll have tons of bundles and not enough people to buy them, but it's more that there's not a lot of stock, in which there will only be about 20 people buying them. Thus, not enough for a midnight release, sadly :(

wow that blows! Thanks for the information...I figured that the lack of preorders(yes, shockingly there probably is a lack due to the $170 price tag) would probably effect a midnight opening...but I also assumed that since Mass Effect was also being released, they would.."overlook" that.

Yeah the guy at my store said he hopes there isn't because he doesn't want to stay up all night, lol.

the manager at mine told me they'd never stay open for such a niche game. and that i was a loser for asking everyother day. lol i guess im not cool cuase i dont play RPG's. I cant even call in sick cuase my boss is in my rock band band. so ill a have to wait.

No midnight sale at my local Gamestop. The only thing I care about is having a bundle reserved for me to pick up, and with only two people pre-ordering PS3 bundles at my store (one of whom is me), I have no worries about that.

A week from now, I'll probably still be rocking through a day-long play session. Hopefully my brother will hurry home from school to join me, as I'll be able to get home a day before him thanks to my schedule.

I would think with Mass Effect coming out the same day these places would be opening at midnight anyway.

Yeah my store said since they're only getting 12 in that it would be a waste of time but there is still a chance since they didn't even know that GHIII was having a midnight release/that Rock band wasn't coming out on black friday.

They better not sell my pre-order, I can't be there until 3 hours after it opens, if they do sell it then I'll end up on the news :p

well she was able to tell me that she already had them and she had exactly the same amount as pre orders so i am garenteed to get mine. then she kinda made it sound like if bugged her again about she'd call security lol

Contractually, they have to hold your pre-order for 48 hours before they can sell it. Check your pre-order receipt. After all the payment information it should say:

"New Release products will be held for 48 hours after release"

If they sell your copy, they're f*cked.
