lag in phase

Hi all,
I just bought a brand new 160GB iPod Classic, and of course one of the first things I did was download Phase. I love the game however it is becoming very frustrating due to some lag issues. On every song it's almost guaranteed that it will lag once in the first section. The music playback is fine but the notes will slow down and then quickly speed back up to re-align with the track. Often later on in the songs I'll notice short bursts as well. Which needless to say makes it difficult to pass a marathon on hard...

Anyways, I was wondering if anybody else has had this issue and knows a resolution. As I said, my iPod is brand new... could this be due to faulty hardware?

i thought it was cuz i was using a 30gb iPod video from 2 yrs ago. guess i'm not the only 1.

I usually get some in the first 30 seconds of every song, it's pretty annoying.

Yeah, I'm on a 80gig 5th-gen, and I also get lag. It's just in the game. I wish they'd issue a patch.

I get this same exact problem. I stopped playing it because of this reason, and I've kept my friends from buying it. Waste of money imo just because of this one simple flaw that renders the game useless. It's IMPOSSIBLE on insane.

Same thing happens to me on my 160gb iPod (about a month old). It does NOT happen on my friend's 80gb iPod (about 3 months old). They are from the same generation. Is there any known fix for this issue?

I just have to say that I am glad i am not the only one. I have a 60 gig ipod and i thought it was because of the age. I always want to shoot the thing becuase it does that. is their and end in sight?

From what I hear on the original phase, it sounds like there should have been a longer loading time to eliminate the lag, like audiosurf.
