Those of us playing Guitar Hero 3 will probably want to stop sometime in the near future. The timing for hitting notes especially HO/PO's are alot different then the old GH2 and original GH. You have to remember that Hmx didn't make GH3 so the timing is going to be taking some getting used to again. If you don't believe me play GH3 for a while then go back to either of the two GH's HMX was a part of. So to avoid this and make it a bit of an easier transition it might be better to take a week off of Guitar Hero 3 to get ready for Rock Band and familiarize ourselves with the timing of GH2 becuase most likely and from what I've heard the timing is very similar.

Well for me so far it's been hard to distinguish between HO/PO's in RB.. That being said I've only played the guitar one time for it, then played bass.. But while I did play, I didn't really notice the HO/POs I was just having too much fun jamming.

There's no HOPOs on drums!
Oh yeah, there's a guitar too... I've thought of it, but it'll just take a small adjustment period that I'll probably acquire playing through the easier songs on the set list.

My buddy and I had one hell of a time trying to nail HO/POs in Rock Band. It was just tougher somehow.

I've been playing the demo and GH3 pretty regularly, and I've come to a point where I have no problem switching between the two games...
Although I still don't do as good on GH1 and 2 as i used to I'm not having any real problems with it...

im pretty sure they gave you a little more time to hit the notes in gh3 to make through the fire and flames on expert possible, so yeah the timing is different, and i actually stopped playing gh3 last week, because i beat it and then to me it seemed as if the songs i liked to play were to easy, so it was boring, and the harder songs that were less boring, were songs that i didnt like as much so i just was not enjoying the game.

I have GH3 and have more or less gotten used to its HO/POs, and I have played the RB demo a bunch of times. Just today I was playing RB and noticed that I was getting the hang of the HOPOs and don't think I'll have a problem switching to RB full time once it comes out :D

I'm just gonna get it out of my system.
The Guitars Strum Bar is too quiet! I feels like I'm barely touching it.
So far some of the HO/POs in the demo are unreasonable like in GH3.
When there should have been a HO/PO there wasn't.
By far are the only problems with the game.
Too bad I'll be on vacation when it comes out.

I tried the RB demo today, and did find that the window of time to hit the notes is considerably shorter (there was the GH3 demo right next to it, so I pretty much did a side-by-side comparison...).
I only played 2 songs since I just wanted to see how the guitar felt in my hands. I failed both of them! I wasn't playing very seriously, though.
The first song I kept losing track of which buttons I was pushing because they're not raised like the GH guitars. I'm not complaining, though. I actually think this feature is gonna be pretty cool because my fingers couldn't quite handle sliding between chords on the raised buttons.
The second song I kept trying to switch between the regular fret buttons, and the "solo" fret buttons. Failed during the solo because I couldn't get my hands in the right place in time. Also not complaining, I think it's cool they added something new so I can challenge myself. Also cool that they didn't make it mandatory to use these new fret buttons in case you don't want that.
