WHAT?!?! Where is THE USED in Rock Band!?

Ever since GH3 got Pretty Handsome Awkward, I have been waiting for Rock Band to come out with some of THE USED's work. Having been friends with these guys back in the days of recording their first album in Happy Valley, Utah, I would love to see them put into the game. Songs from any of the albums would work, however, with a new album in the works for this winter, it would be awesome to see some pre release songs from the album (like they did with BuckCherry). What are the thoughts floating around about wanting THE USED??

I wouldn't mind a couple from their first CD. Maybe A Box Full of Sharp Objects or hmm. I don't know if this is the song I'm thinking of, but it might be Maybe Memories. Their first album I think is really some of their only good stuff. I thought that got too MTV teenage girl after that, but also that's when everyone started liking them really so I don't know.

I agree that if/when they are put in DLC form they need some off of the first CD. Myabe even some of the ones off of the B-sides album Shallow Believer (Itunes only)

I would love to do the screams from a lot of the USed's songs, but if I am reallly going to belt it out, the mic needs to be adjusted to pick it up better. I always lose it in A7X's songs even screaming out my best. But if I mellow it down,I can nail it.

I have said it before, and I will again, Rock Band is not out to please one person. Its for everyone. Its going to have a little bit of something for everyone. And whether you like them or not, The Used are a talented and successful band that are working on their fourth studio album. I find it hard to believe that a "genuinely" bad band could make it as far as they have come. So here's raising my glass to THE USED for Rock Band's DLC!

Seriously, The Roadrunner Pack was not the best selection of songs, but thats my opinion and this is the first I have said anything of it. People need to stop putting down other people's bands, Who are you to say they suck? What criteria are you basing that on? Is there some official rules of music that I don't know about? Because if so let me know. I want to conform make everyone like the same stuff!

Thats how i feel about this weeks Roadrunner pack, to me its a waste of 6 good downloads that I could have had, so here's to waiting another week. But I understand that other people like those bands and those songs. So its just a waste to me, but I know that with the variety they put out there will be ups and downs with the DLC content each week for everyone., So i am content waiting.

Not a big old fan of The Used but I just won't download them if they come out. I am however a fan of My Chemical Romance, and to me it seems the two of them get mushed together in an unfortunate musical category of "emo". I don't believe in this, and if you want The Used for Rockband, more power to you.

Apparently you only click on the threads about bands you like, and apparently I think all those bands are garbage. I'm sorry if your idea of a "decent post" is a post that agrees with you. There are plenty of bands I do like, and threads I've posted in supporting DLC from those bands.

I am not of the mindset that we should approve of every band for DLC and "just not buy it if I don't like it". Since there is always going to be a limit to the number of bands and songs that make it into the DLC, I choose to voice my opinion here in the forums, as should everyone else, and let Harmonix take these "votes" into consideration before they waste their time charting content that only a handful of people want.

My basis for calling them a bad band is that they're doing nothing that hasn't already been done better by a number of other "post-hardcore" bands before them. I don't have the patience for imitators whose packaging appealed to MTV audiences more than the originals. The fact that they're "successful" says nothing about the quality of their music. Sha Na Na was successful, Limp Bizkit was successful, P. Diddy was successful...

Read the post above yours. Please man, give reasoning behind it. I think that all of the Road runner track pack "sucked" but I am not vocally complaining about it in all those bands threads, and even if I were, I would give good reason, such as they all sound the same to me, they are not fun for a vocalist, and I would like to see more of a variety of songs in the game. So before you go spouting that a band "sucks" please come up with some valid reasoning for why you don't want to see them

PS--- There are plenty of on disc and DLC bands that "s-u-c-k" but they put them in the game anyway, so thats not a good reason for why they aren't in there.

As a side note, I downloaded the Used's song Pretty Handsome Awkward for Guitar Hero 3, Its really one of the only songs I play on that game anymore. The guitar track is a blast to play.

I like The Used, they're pretty good, but there's just not a lot of standout tracks from them I'd want to play. The Bird and The Worm would be pretty awesome depending on how well it translated into the game. But other than that not a whole lot would get me exceptionally excited.

Thanks, and thats a pretty sweet set up. I'm still reserving judgement until i hear a demo or single off of the new album.... then I may want some new stuff. But definitely some off their first CD, as well as Lies...... Maybe one or two from In Love.

my opinion is... with all the people bashing other "generic alt/rock band" over these forums, these guys are yet another pretty good example of generic bland alt/rock music. I am not bashing you for it though i happen to mostly like the generic bland sound anyways lol
