Question about playing the drums. If you don't hit the overdrive activation note after a freeform fill, does it count as a missed note?

wow...ROFL

It takes a song or two to get used to this, but once you have it down you'll be rocking the skins like Tommy Lee, minus the revolving drum kit and homemade, erm, video.

Definitely not. I frequently skip the green overdrive activation note if I'm playing with someone that I expect to tank out at any moment so I can be ready to save them. When skipping the note, the multiplier does not drop.

I'm not positive, but I seem to remember that while it doesn't count as a missed note, it also doesn't count any of the hits you make during the fill, either. I could be wrong.

Wow, I think they might be a week late with this too. Either way, always good to have new Rock Band stuff to look at and read.

(Hey! I listen to folk music. I'm listening to Elf Power's Back to the Web as I write this. Screw you, IGN! Ha.)

I think I'm going to have to work some nice overtime this holiday season to be able to afford this. I won't be able to live with myself if I buy this rather than upgrading my music equipment, but the potential entertainment value of this is far too excessive for a fan of video games to pass up. I must have you, Rock Band.

they say that during fills, you get points per notes hit, but everything else i read seems to say the opposite. I think they are talking about the ending bonus section, but i would be sad if the thing i read that says freeform fills are ONLY there to activate overdrive is not true.

how come IGN didn't post of a video of an actual good drum song??

Because their drummer sucks too much to *play* them?

I noticed in an earlier vid that when they were playing the songs currently known to be 'hard' - Won't Get Fooled Again, Don't Fear The Reaper - they had the drums on a low difficulty level. I think their drummer's just crap.
