I bought an Xbox 360 because I wanted an Xbox 360 for the games (PDZ at the time, and the future of a series of other games).

I bought a Wii because it sounded like fun. So far, the only real "fun" I've had is when my 4 year-old son came to visit and played against me in Mario Kart. When he placed 14th and I placed 15th, he yelled, "I beat you!" and announced his retirement. Classic.

I bought a PS3 because it was shiny, and dammit, I own shiny things!

I got a Wii at launch cause like all the other suckers I thought it would be more fun than about 2 months worth of entertainment. I wanted to get rid of it but my girlfriend won't let me.

We've got all three, but the 360 gets used the most hands-down.

Actually, the PS2 has sold more units (3.8 mil) than the PS3 (3.7 mil) in America during the past calendar year (August 04 2007 - August 02 2008).

I own a PS3. I might one day buy a Wii for Brawl. I don't see myself purchasing a 360.

An interesting question would be how the sales compare when you remove RRoD re-buys from the numbers. There are horror stories about people on their 5th or 6th XBox360, some of which weren't covered by the warranty any longer.

What games? You may be surprised as to how many games are on OSX.
The point? Because you can always boot up OSX too. That way not only can you use windows exclusive/native programs, but you can use OSX exclusives/natives as well.

There are literally thousands. The three biggest titles remaining in 2008 (Starcraft 2, Spore, Wrath of the Litch King) are all on Mac.

EQ2 is great. People seem to fall over WoW, but EQ2 is far, far superior. I quit not too long ago though cause I couldn't find enough time to play with all these other things I wanted to do. I'll probably come back at some point though. What server are you on?

^You know, the lack of games is what causes me to not get the ps3. There's like what, one game that makes me give it a chance, and that's cuz I heard it's pretty close to Splinter Cell(MGS4). Other than that, I'd only get it for God Of War 3, and even then, I'd have to seriously think about it, since i personally think it's a glorified Blu-Ray player, as that's what's the bigger reason for me to get it.

This must be a quite a new blu-ray player then. Or an old model that came down in price, because as far as I know, the PS3 has been the best and cheapest blu-ray player out there for awhile. Got the 360 for games, and until Sony makes better tools available for devs I won't buy a PS3. There's no excuse for the games looking as unpolished as they do. (Save 1st party titles)

Can't argue there. The facial animation was beautiful...too bad the game was horrible IMO.

It was an okay game, imo. Not great, 80% was a rip off of God of War. But it had some decent six-axis function, which was fun. It was short and doesn't have a ton of replay value though. I enjoyed it the first time through, but I beat it in under two days.

That's man. I can't find any other reason to get a ps3 for games.

Three games isn't going to sell me on a system, even if I think two of those games I'm probably not going to like.(I've tried giving MGS a chance, didn't like it. The first Killzone was underachieving. God Of War I know is going to kick ass. I just hope.)

MGS4 - I didn't like MGS4. I really hated that Kojima did anything after MGS, they've all been pretty poor games IMHO.

Resistance: Fall of Man Fun, but not a great game.

Warhawk Not anything like what was promised. I was very disappointed when I saw the final version of Warhawk.

Gran Turismo 5 (Prologue) I hope nobody is dumb enough to pay $40 for a glorified demo. Played this at GameCrazy.

Ratchet & Clank Excellent series. Quite excellent.

Burnout Paradise Mediocre. OK if you like Burnout games. I prefer games like Forza.

I haven't played any of these yet, so I won't comment about them.

So of the exclusives, there's ONE that I find to be a great game. Not worth paying $400 for one game.

Most developers have long overcome the woes that plagues the very first 3rd party games for the PS3. Most games play, sound, and look better now on the PS3 than the 360.

As for the games, I guess we'll have to agree to disagree. I love most of those games I just listed, and really don't like many of the 360 exclusives (Bioshock was about it, but that's coming to the PS3). Too Human looks like it has potential, but everything coming out is giving mixed reports about it.

Have a 360

Thinking about a PS3. We have a rule in our house (after getting burned by getting a SegaCD at launch) that we don't buy a system until there are 10 must have games for it. Having a 360 means that the only games that qualify for that target with a PS3 are exclusives. It's sitting at 7 or so right now.

We are also interested in a wii, but to a lesser extent.

As for the rest - I have a PC, a Mac and a Linux box (Ubuntu right now) here at home, all networked together.
