I'm not sure either of those sites would update very quickly. Maybe Wikipedia, but someone might be changing it back.

In any case, I'm hesitant to believe it's delayed, until there is some official statement. Plus, if it WERE delayed, I doubt they'd push it back to the 20th. They might as well just push it back to the 27th, because there is already too much going on on the 20th. Not that it can't hold it's own against the other games coming out, but it's just too much crammed into one day.

Edit: Supposedly Ubisoft confirmed that it was just a mistake on Gamestops part and all other gaming websites still list it as the 13th. And that the game will be out on the 13th.

OK EB Sent another email saying this i'm dead serious. OOPS ON OUR PART, Assassin's Creed delay goof up! The collectors edition SKU is still gone. I'm sorry, I won't relay any of EB's terrible crap.

I remember a month ago there was a rumor that it was getting delayed, but then it went gold a week or two ago, and doesn't that basically rule out being delayed? Unless Ubisoft is intentionally holding it back for some odd reason.

Edit: Apparently GameStop's computers are showing a delay to the 360 version only. Maybe Sony threw down some money for a) the commercials that show PS3's logo, and b) getting the game a week earlier

I call hogwash on that, too. Assassin's Creed was supposed to be PS3 exclusive, but thatnks to a weak, weak launch for the PS3, they made it for both. You have to sell at least 500,000 copies of a game to break even and at the time PS3 only had 200,000 systems sold.

In a nutshell, some DM somewhere forgot the special edition SKU, causing observant Mickie D to try and break my heart with yet another delay.

Don't spread lies. There was already speculation (based on a leaked list) that it was also going to be on the 360 back in March of 2006, when it was still called Assassins. And last time I checked, the PS3 wasn't out yet.

Also there is no single break-even point for games, because budgets can vary so widely, and either Sony or Microsoft and help subsidize the cost of the game, by throwing money at a company to get an exclusive.

What are you talking about?

Just because Ubisoft didn't make an official announcement about a 360 version doesn't mean they were waiting until seeing the sales figures for the PS3 launch to make a decision.

It's clear from the 1up interview that they were hiding something. Sorry that your inside info from EB doesn't include deduction.

Also, PS3 came out in November. A full 8 months after the first reports that it was no longer PS3 exclusive, and 5 months after Ubisoft was dodging 1up's questions.

Plus, using your own argument that it took 4 years to make, I doubt they quickly whipped out the Xbox version in one year, after seeing PS3's poor launch. Assuming they gave the PS3 a month to sell some systems, and that the game went gold a few weeks ago, you're telling me they essentially made a quick judgment call in December 2006 (based on PS3 sales) and then made the entire 360 version in 10 months? Me no thinky.

If you had said that it was no longer an exclusive because it was hard to make for PS3 (as opposed to low PS3 sales) at least I could believe the argument. But you're not making any sense.

It was always planned for both. Sony was working out a exclusivity deal, when it was first shown to press behind closed doors at E3. There were reports that its running on 360 even though ubisoft had only said it was ps3 game. 2 weeks after E3 they announced for 360. Later on Rockstar had mentioned that sony had missed out on exclusivity on some ps3 titles because Ken kuturagi had botched negotiations(including GTA4).

I agree with battle, who gives a ****? It's for both systems now people that are cheap *******s (360 owners) and people that actually were stupid enough to spend 600 on a system (PS3 owners) can both enjoy one kick ass game.

yeah apparently mass effect is being sold in limited K-Marts around the US. just my luck that they sell my ****ing game in the one store that was mass closed in my area. there are only two k-marts left and chances are mass effect isn't there
