PS3 Rock Band 2 Instruments on PS2?

Hi everyone,

Like most of you I am thinking of getting some of the new instruments when rock band 2 comes out.

However what is the PS3/PS2 compatabillity for the new ones like?

Can I anyone tell me if the new PS3 Drums and Guitar will work on the ps2 version of rock band and rock band 2?

PS2 and PS3 instruments are inter-compatible. My friend bought Rock Band for his PS2. Then he got a PS3. To save money, he's going to use his PS2 Rock Band 1 instruments, and use them for PS3 Rock Band 2. Really, the instruments are made for PS3, but Harmonix thought "What the hell?" and threw those instruments into the Rock Band PS2 box.

So to answer your question after that boring life story, yes. :)
