DLC usable in Solo Tour

Hadn't seen it mentioned, so in case you hadn't seen it yet... Per Dan's blog (http://community.rockband.com/index.php?do=/public/blog/view/id_610/) from today:

"All downloadable content can be used in all modes of the game - either by yourself in the Solo Tour, integrated into your band's setlists in Band World Tour, available for head-to-head competition either locally or online, and from any Quickplay mode."

So that don't suck.

Although come to think of it, that just means that it works exactly the same as the way GH2 works (all songs available to play, just not part of your core "career" score) but as you say it's nice to see that they really have thought through all angles.

"by yourself in the Solo Tour" sounds different from how bonus tracks work in GH - but I'm not sure how they would implement that, since wouldn't the tiers be hard to change?

maybe solo tour isn't as simple as a GH career mode?

I was thinking it'd be pretty cool if it at least stole the advancement method of BWT. It looked like in BWT you just needed a certain number of stars to unlock the next cities or whatever, and you could pretty much play whatever songs you wanted to earn those stars. Perhaps for each 'tier' there will be more than just 5 songs, maybe 8 or so, maybe some overlap from tier to tier, and in order to pass on to the next tier, you need to earn so many stars, from the songs available...would be fairly easy to sprinkle DLC songs throughout the existing tiers and you wouldn't have to restructure the whole thing...

Maybe each DLC song has a difficult rating for each instrument, allowing for it to be swapped out for on-disc songs (or just be inserted into the appropriate tier)?

I would assume that something like this is the case, because as we saw on the list of songs by difficulty in one of the videos (I think it was from IGN), the bonus songs were mixed in with the regular tracks by difficulty. Very cool if it works out that way.

I'm also hoping for something more interesting and Dan has twice referred to the RB solo tour as an "evolution" of the GH career so that would imply at least some change. Even if it's just like GH2 on the 360 and you just have a downloaded songs section at the end of your song list, it's at least nice to know that they'll show up in some fashion anyway.
