I didn't notice that Sean posted this until just now, so given all of the discussion about this recently, I thought it deserved to be repeated:

Thanks for your feedback on the Rock Band retail demo units. To make the deadline we had to use some pre-production gear which is not as durable as the final equipment. We are in the process of replacing demo equipment in the field. If you see any demo issues please email me at support@harmonixmusic.com so we can get it working properly.

Well, I wouldn't be surprised if the neck still twists (I still haven't figured out why that matters...) but the broken strum bars and such are probably just a result of this.

yeah, i know, but all the people *****ing about the neck twisting when they physically try to twist it was annoying, what did they expect to happen? So, since these were the pre-production models are the real guitars going to be heavier? I thought that would be pretty cool to feel more like a real guitar, and is there still the silent strum I liked that a lot

I'm pretty sure thats the way the retail guitars are.

OK this info eases my nerves. I played it for the first time today and failed on expert on Dani California and Are You Gonna Be My Girl on the guitar and I dont fail on expert...Unless its Jordan....Darn song...But it wouldnt read me when I strummed a note. The final version wont have these problems right?
