Is your Gamestop doing anything special for midnight launch?

That is if your Gamestop is doing one at all. Mine is going to have all kinds of snacks and drinks and is going to raffle off a cardboard Mass Effect ad thats about 5 feet tall and 3 feet wide. Also, since they can't open a bundle early because its street dated they're going to try to set one up at midnight for everyone to jam together. PS3 bundles have been out for awhile but there's very few 360 ones available left to pre-order (version I'm getting). Sounds fun, I may stick around!

We have 2 left for 360 and none for PS3 but since Mass Effect is the same night we are doing midnight release

That's kew. Do you know if its common with other Gamestops... or when you guys do midnight releases do ALL the locations do them... or wha?

I asked tonight, after work, when I went to go finish paying off Assassin's Creed and put down a good chunk on Haze, and I got a big ol' shrug.

On a side note if you look at the games I have pre-ordered when they give me my receipt when I put down money it looks like this....

PS3 - Assassin's Creed
PS3- Rock Band Bundle
PS3 - Uncharted: Drake's Fortune

So when I asked about putting 20 dollars on Haze, she said "You know it's not for the 360, right?"

So with that story, the shrug was probably an accurate answer. I didn't know about a GH3 launch till a day or two before, so we'll see I guess.

You did know Haze will be released on the 360 right? Or did I mis read that? :P

Also,I really really really hope they do somethin,but I doubt they will. Ill probably just stay up till midnight on a school night and head out there,and then become broke..

No, plans for PC and 360 versions were canceled and it was made a PS3 exclusive. This was announced at Leipzig.

so you should get your copy no matter what or does GS do it on a first come first serve basis? I don't want to go to GS later on in the day on Tuesday and have them tell me they're all out.

No thats ok. It was announced for the 360 for the longest time and it was recently changed. I didn't know until I downloaded a gameplay video for it off the PSN and after it was done it showed this programming guy and he said with an accent "Haze, coming exclusively to the PS3"

It took me by surprise too. It'll probably come out down the road. Kind of like "Lost Planet" is coming out for the PS3 with all the 360 and PC extra content in 2008.

It's on a store by store basis but the fact that Rock Band is the game I want most this year means I am pushing for it at mine.

The GH3 midnight release was kinda lame, but only because they only had one set up and it was a competition in which a 10 year old put up an insane score and no one bothered to even try to beat it. I think if they have the whole band set up it could be a good time.
