Maybe I missed it, but this is the first time I've seen Nevermind officially confirmed by HMX. (Did I miss it before?)

Anyways, awesome.

For example, the character that you?ve designed will appear in the loading screens, such as an album cover that shows your character?s name and face, which personalizes it all that much more.

Haha that's awesome!

In Rock Band, these are ?retroactive,? so if you complete the whole song list on Hard, you?ll get the achievements for Hard, as well as Easy and Medium?though you?ll probably end up playing them at some point to build up your character?s overall score.

So I'm guessing your Stars and maybe Fans carry into BWT?

Oh and yes this is the first OFFICIAL confirmation on Nevermind, straight from Harmonix themselves. Haha, Trent Reznor (NIN) asking to be put in Rock Band, that's awesome.

"...we were able to get the whole of ?Nevermind? from Nirvana, which was way beyond our expectations and is incredibly awesome."

Uh...I just...I...I think I'm going to cry. That....is....awesome!

Well we can be sure to see a Game Head video on GameTrailers today (it's past midnight here), since Sean mentioned they visited the studio this week.

We haven?t heard a lot about the single-player game yet. How is it going to work for just one player?

Dan Teasdale: It works great. You can create your character and go through playing songs and unlocking songs. It?s the same experience, just on a single instrument. So, you can go through playing harder and harder drum songs or sing harder and harder vocal songs. It?s a great experience, sort of an evolution of what we?ve done previously in Harmonix games.
what does this mean?

he says "just unlocking songs" but the also says "it's the same experience" which implies it's the same as BWT?

No, he's not saying that it's the same as BWT. But it does seem like it's a safe bet that the solo tour does have a little more to it than just the GH experience. Perhaps we will see some of the fun "career moments" from BWT work their way into the solo career progression. Like the "battle" mode of GH3 intermissions. (But they won't suck. ;)

Dan Teasdale: Well, as an Australian, I?m obliged to get AC/DC into the game! It?s all stuff that we?re chasing. It would be amazing to get AC/DC into the game, and I will not sleep until we get them in there! [laughs]

What does this mean? ;) Anyway, awesome to have Nevermind in the game. I need to stock up on MS points :(

I was curious about his answer to that question as well. I don't think it will be the same as BWT, but he does say, "It’s a great experience, sort of an evolution of what we’ve done previously in Harmonix games," so I'm guessing it's more than just a basic GH progression like some have thought.

I can't wait to find out. I don't think I've been this excited for a game...hell, maybe ever.

It is odd. He contradicts himself in saying it's an evolution but that it's pretty much identical to how GH works.

I'm really hoping Feigned's interview reveals more about the solo... HMX has been dodging talking about it for awhile. Only reasons for that are somehow missing every time someone asks, or not wanting to tell us bad news.

That sour note said... NEVERMIND CONFIRMED. Hell yeah. I was really, really hoping this rumor was true. Lithium, Polly, On a Plain... I can't wait to play this whole album!

The first three Achievements listed are "Unlock a [Big Club/Theater/Arena] in Solo Tour" so hopefully that's more than "beat tier number ___" and by unlocking those venues, you unlock a number of options similar to BWT.

But no boss battles, please. Those are lame.

Except that in GH2, you got achievements for "unlocking the rat cellar" and other such things that were... beating tier number ___. So, it's probably exactly the same.

It might be more but then again it can also be "Beat tier number ___" and "unlock _______" Also its almost impossible for them to have boss battles, who would you "battle" against?

We also had the chance to play through the entire 58-song “setlist”—yes, there are a number of tunes that haven’t been revealed yet—and there’s a lot of great music in there.

That means more songs. Yes I did count the setlist songs and bonus songs, which adds up to 58. But he said "setlist" songs, so does that mean more?

If it adds up to 58, that's probably what he meant. Occam's razor. I can't imagine they'd go "Surprise! More songs!" at this point, not when dozens of news sites have posted the "final" setlist.

i've never realized what he said about 58 songs but that is just the total probably. but that would be awesome although they dont need to because of DLC, which is ganna rock!

His statement would not make sence then. The article was posted yesterday. By then, we knew all setlist and bonus songs. He said there were "setlist" songs that we not announced yet. If they held it off that long, I would imagine it would be something..HUGE! But I don't want to get my hopes up.

If he said 58 songs and there are 58 songs total including bonus, then that's what he meant, obviously. I'm all for optimism but let's be reasonable.

maybe thats what the big announcement is for the winner of the battle of the bands?

The article was posted yesterday.

Just because the article was posted yesterday does not mean the article was written yesterday or that the guy played the game yesterday. He probably wrote the article before the songs were announced.
