I have been playing Rock Band since release on my xbox and have had no problems up to this point with the game disc. About a week ago I go to start the game and all that appears on my local (offline) multiplayer list of songs to play from are DLC and a few original disc songs to pick from. I log on to xbox live which I wouldn’t think would have anything to do with the problem, since these are the same songs that should always be appearing. Nothing changes so I restart and am left with only DLC and a few songs again, I noticed no bonus songs with the blue dots are appearing at all. I have not had any time to really check if this occurs in the single player mode, most of my game time is with friends lately.
I have figured out a way to get the rest to load, but it requires me to turn off the xbox, unplug the usb hub in the back and the one controller I leave plugged in the front, and then only replug the usb hub back in without a usb controller anymore. This doesn’t seem like this should be occurring when I’m trying to play game disc songs that should always be available.
I thought maybe something was wrong with my xbox, I’ve had it for a year and a half with no problems yet, so when dell.com offered the elites for $299 last week I upgraded and used the transfer kit to get my data off my old harddrive onto the new one. I go to play the game again on the new xbox and still have the same problem.
Has anyone seen or heard of this problem. It’s not a game breaker and I still love playing this game, but it is getting annoying when I go to play with friends and have to restart all the time. ( I also have checked the disc and it does not have any major scratches on it) Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
