Hi! I'm having trouble playing online with some friends and am hoping someone can answer a few questions. Firstly, Rock Band is the first game that either of the parties involved have ever played on Xbox Live. We both went Gold to be able to play together.

There are two parties, My wife and I and our close friends who are at the same location. In otherwords there are four people, and two xboxes in two locations. We're trying to play together but can only get three people involved.

It took some time to figure it out, then we finally did but we can't seem to figure out how to get two instruments from each house. In this scenario, my wife and I are trying to play guitar and drums, and Chris and Amy are trying to play Bass and Vocals.

We get all the way to the point where the invitation is accepted, we're logged in and ready to play but one of us always has "Remote player only" or something to that effect. Is it not possible to play two players from two locations simultaneously? If it is, please help as we are so incredibly frustrated by the whole thing. The manual has pretty much NO information on playing online which is a real disappointment.

Thank you in advance for any help

Ian

Which instrument is having problems? I have no problems playing with two people at my house and two people at another house. Sometimes you have to unplug your instruments and make sure they are connected properly. Unplug your instruments from your USB hub and try it again. Make sure guitar has fresh batteries, plugged in all the way, etc.

Hi! Thanks for the reply! We aren't having problems with any specific instrument. First it was our friends both online, and my wife and I couldn't use our drums. So we switched, and we sent the invite. Then we could use our guitar and drums but they couldn't use two instruments. We made sure to only have the instruments being used plugged in. Neither of us use the USB hub regularly. For some reason though, it's as though we can't have two Live Gold accounts each with a guest - it will only allow us to have one at one of the two locations. I'm sure it's something we're doing wrong, but we can't figure out what it is. It's good to know however that it is possible :-) Please enlighten ;-)
